Multifunctional Carbon Dots for Electrochemical Capacitors Reviewed: Their Opportunities and Challenges

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Carbon dots (CDs) with unique natures of small size, high specific surface area, and tunable surface functional groups significantly enhance the specific capacitance and cycling stability of electrochemical capacitors (ECs). This review systematically discusses critical challenges and opportunities associated with multifunctional CDs in ECs, aiming to ...

Oral Exposure to Food‐Grade Nanoparticles Poses a Risk of Alzheimer's Disease‐Like Symptoms by Triggering Autophagy Defects in Neurons

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Three food‐grade nanomaterials induce dysregulated RyR‐Ca2+ signaling through epigenetic modifications. This dysregulation impairs the autophagic clearance process, ultimately leading to abnormal Aβ deposition and increase phosphorylated tau levels.

SP3 and DEP1 Orchestrate Panicle Architecture by Jointly Regulating APO2 Expression in Rice

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
The transcription factor SP3 enhances inflorescence meristem activity and interacts with the cysteine‐rich domain of DEP1. This interaction alters DEP1's subcellular localization between the plasma membrane and nucleus, and suppresses SP3‐mediated transcriptional activation of APO2.

cGAS Inhibits ALDH2 to Suppress Lipid Droplet Function and Regulate MASLD Progression

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
cGAS is a cytosolic DNA sensor known for innate immune defense. cGAS binds and suppresses ALDH2 are showed, limiting acetyl‐CoA production. cGAS loss activates ALDH2, promoting histone acetylation, lipogenesis, and lipid droplets accumulation. cGas‐/‐ mice on a high‐fat diet show signs of worsened MASLD.
