Iterative method for solving fully-coupled fluid solid systems
European Journal of Computational Mechanics, 2010This work is concerned with the modelling of the interaction of a fluid with a rigid or a flexible elastic cylinder in the presence of axial or cross-flow. A partitioned procedure is involved to perform the computation of the fully-coupled fluid solid system.

A canonical problem for fluid-solid interfacial wave coupling
Proceedings of the Royal Society of London. Series A: Mathematical, Physical and Engineering Sciences, 1996The author studies a two-dimensional problem which describes the wave propagation in a system consisting of a semi-infinite rigid strip inserted between two half-spaces, one being solid and the other being liquid. The strip is smoothly bonded to the solid half-space which is characterized by its Lamé constants.

Simulation of seismic waves in fluid-solid coupled thermoelastic media
GEOPHYSICSThis research advances seismic wave propagation analysis by incorporating temperature effects within fluid-solid coupled media. Leveraging the Lord-Shulman theory, we develop propagation equations that apply thermoacoustic and thermoelastic concepts to the intricacies of fluid-solid-thermal coupled media.
