Molecular characterization of covRS mutations in M1UK Streptococcus pyogenes
Group A Streptococcus (GAS) acquires covRS mutations driving a hypervirulent bacterial state, frequently associated with invasive disease‐like necrotizing fasciitis. We demonstrate that the newly emerged M1UK GAS lineage can also acquire these mutations.

The Miles Theorem and New Particular Solutions to the Taylor--Goldstein Equation [PDF]
The linear stability problem of steady-state plane-parallel shear flows of a continuously stratified inviscid incompressible fluid in the gravity field between two immovable impermeable solid planes is studied in and without the Boussinesq approximation.

Evaluating the effect of γ‐oryzanol on MASLD pathology using a medaka fish model
This study explores a liver disease called MASLD, which is increasing worldwide and can lead to serious damage. Researchers used medaka fish instead of rodents to test a food compound, γ‐oryzanol. Fish fed this compound had less liver fat and healthier gut bacteria.

Mutant NPM1 in Acute Myeloid Leukemia Initiation and Maintenance
NPM1 mutations drive acute myeloid leukemia by acting as neomorphic transcriptional regulators that cooperate with Menin–MLL and XPO1 to sustain HOX/MEIS1 expression and block differentiation. Targeting these mutant‐specific transcriptional dependencies provides a rational therapeutic strategy for NPM1‐mutated AML.

A fluid approximation for service systems responding to unexpected overloads
In a recent paper we considered two networked service systems, each having its own customers and designated service pool with many agents, where all agents are able to serve the other customers, although they may do so inefficiently.

The diffuse interface approximation to fluid-structure interaction
We consider a fluid-structure interaction problem in the Eulerian, phase-field formulation. The problem is described using the Navier--Stokes equations for a viscous, incompressible fluid, coupled with the incompressible hyperelasticity system, both written in the Eulerian coordinates.

Long‐Term Follow‐Up of Chemotherapy‐Associated Biological Aging in Women With Early Breast Cancer
Women threated with adjuvant chemotherapy for early breast cancer have sustained long‐term increase in p16INK4a,, a robust marker of cell senescence, suggesting a chemotherapy‐associated age acceleration. p16INK4a as well as other biomarkers may identify patients at greatest risk for senescence‐related diseases of aging.

Asymptotic Approximation of the Nonsteady Micropolar Fluid Flow through a Circular Pipe
We study the nonsteady flow of a micropolar fluid through a thin cylindrical pipe. The asymptotic behaviour of the flow is found via asymptotic analysis with respect to the small parameter ϵ, representing the pipe’s thickness.

Clustering Algorithm Reveals Dopamine‐Motor Mismatch in Cognitively Preserved Parkinson's Disease
ABSTRACT Objective To explore the relationship between dopaminergic denervation and motor impairment in two de novo Parkinson's disease (PD) cohorts. Methods n = 249 PD patients from Parkinson's Progression Markers Initiative (PPMI) and n = 84 from an external clinical cohort.
