A Study on the Fluid Flow and Heat Transfer for a Porous Architected Heat Sink Using the Idea of CFD Modelling

Volume 8: Heat Transfer and Thermal Engineering, 2019
The drive for small and compact electronic components with higher processing capabilities is limited by their ability to dissipate the associated heat generated during operations.

Fluid flow and heat transfer in an optical fiber coating process

International Journal of Heat and Mass Transfer, 2007
Abstract The optical fiber coating process, using a die and applicator system, was numerically simulated. The coupled partial differential equations, governing the fluid flow and heat transfer, were solved on a transformed, non-uniform, staggered grid.

Analysis of Mass Transfer and Fluid Flow for Electrochemical Processes

2005
Numerical analyses of fluid flow and mass transfer in electrochemical systems will become more common. It may be difficult, however, to utilize currently available commercial solvers for mass transfer, especially when concentration fields are coupled through an electrical field or through homogeneous chemical reactions.

Heat transfer in peristaltic flow of electrokinetically modulated Carreau fluid under the influence of magnetic field

ZAMM - Journal of Applied Mathematics and Mechanics / Zeitschrift für Angewandte Mathematik und Mechanik
Peristalsis is a wave‐like muscular movement that propels fluids or semi‐solids through tubes in biological systems or engineered devices. The MHD flow of a non‐Newtonian (Carreau) fluid, driven by forces forming a pressure gradient, is modelled ...

Consistent ramifications of prescribed surface temperature and prescribed heat flux boundary conditions for the slip flow of Walter B fluid in a stretching channel

International Journal of Modelling and Simulation, 2023
The present work delves into the Walter B fluid flow across the channel with the elongating enclosures when enthralled by linear radiation. The magnetic field is contemplated throughout the examination.

Experimental visualization of heat transfer and fluid flow processes in a thermoacoustic device

The Journal of the Acoustical Society of America, 1994
Different visualization techniques are used to gain insight into the heat transfer and fluid flow processes in a thermoacoustic refrigerator model. For this purpose, an enlarged model of a thermoacoustic device, with transparent viewing windows in regions of interest, was built.

Modeling of Heat Transfer and Fluid Flow in the Laser Multilayered Cladding Process

Metallurgical and Materials Transactions B, 2010
The current work examines the heat-and-mass transfer process in the laser multilayered cladding of H13 tool steel powder by numerical modeling and experimental validation. A multiphase transient model is developed to investigate the evolution of the temperature field and flow velocity of the liquid phase in the molten pool.
