Dynamic phase separation of fluid membranes with rigid inclusions [PDF]
Membrane shape fluctuations induce attractive interactions between rigid inclusions. Previous analytical studies showed that the fluctuation-induced pair interactions are rather small compared to thermal energies, but also that multi-body interactions cannot be neglected.

Forces exerted by a correlated fluid on embedded inclusions [PDF]
We investigate the forces exerted on embedded inclusions by a fluid medium with long-range correlations, described by an effective scalar field theory. Such forces are the basis for the medium-mediated Casimir-like force. To study these forces beyond thermal average, it is necessary to define them in each microstate of the medium.

Inclusions on Fluid Membranes Anchored to Elastic Media [PDF]
We model theoretically the effect of localized forces on a fluid membrane anchored to a uniform elastic medium. We use this as a simple model for the plasma membrane of a cell. The atomic force microscope (AFM) has been used to apply such forces, but large membrane perturbations occurring in vivo are also treated within the same framework.

Fluid Inclusion Raman Spectrometry and Geological Implications of the Lala Copper Deposit in Sichuan
In this paper, through the Raman spectroscopy analysis of fluid inclusions in Lala copper deposit, it is found that the types of fluid inclusions are diverse, including not only single pure gas phase or pure liquid phase, gas-rich phase, liquid-rich ...

Ar–Ar dating for hydrothermal quartz from the 2.4 Ga Ongeluk Formation, South Africa: implications for seafloor hydrothermal circulation [PDF]
Fluid inclusions in hydrothermal quartz in the 2.4 Ga Ongeluk Formation, South Africa, are expected to partially retain a component of the ancient seawater.

Mediated interactions between rigid inclusions in two-dimensional elastic or fluid films [PDF]
Interactions between rigid inclusions in continuous three-dimensional linearly elastic solids and low-Reynolds-number viscous fluids have largely been quantified during the past. Prime example systems are given by functionalized elastic composite materials or fluid colloidal suspensions.

Fluids in the Siilinjärvi carbonatite complex, eastern Finland: Fluid inclusion evidence for the formation conditions of zircon and apatite [PDF]
In the studied zircon and apatite crystals, data recorded two different compositional types of fluid inclusions: Type 1 H2O-CO2 low salinity inclusions (XCO2 = 0.42 to 0.87; XNaCl = 0.001 to 0.005) with bulk densities of 0.73 to 0.87 g/cm3, and Type 2 ...

Constraints for precise and accurate fluid inclusion stable isotope analysis using water-vapour saturated CRDS techniques [PDF]
Hydrogen ($\delta$2H) and oxygen ($\delta$18O) isotopes of water extracted from speleothem fluid inclusions are important proxies used for paleoclimate reconstruction. In our study we use a cavity ring-down laser spectroscopy system for analysis and modified the approach of Affolter et al. (2014) for sample extraction.
