Prevention of acute renal injury and drug modification
Acute kidney injury (AKI) causes increased morbidity in critically ill children and damage to the kidney affects survival. The incidence of AKI in pediatrics is significant and despite alarming data, therapeutic interventions have failed to effect a ...

Systemic fluid absorption frequently occurs during endoscopic surgery. When large volumes are absorbed, fluid overload is the result. The introduction of lasers allowed the use of normal saline (0.9% sodium chloride) in endoscopic prostatic surgery. This

Continuous‐Flow Microfluidic Synthesis Enhances C2+ Selectivity for Cu2O Catalysts
Microfluidic devices are used to prepare Cu2O nanoparticles under laminar flow conditions, which exhibit enhanced selectivity in the CO2‐to‐C2+ reaction due to their nanoporosity and high defect concentration. Cu2O prepared using standard solution methods displays decreased CO2‐to‐C2+ selectivity due to the absence of similar properties. Altogether, we

Fluid Overload and Deresuscitation Practices in Michigan ICUS
PURPOSE: While fluid resuscitation is a core component of sepsis management, fluid overload has been associated with increased mortality. Estimates of the incidence of fluid overload in sepsis vary and are largely based on single-center studies ...

A flexible pressure sensor with triple‐gradient design of conductivity, modulus, and dimension in binary micro‐dome pixels is proposed. Based on precisely‐designed CNT/PDMS matrix, the device exhibits a linear sensitivity of 974.1 kPa−1 across range up to 1.8 MPa (R2 > 0.99), offering an effective strategy for potential applications in healthcare ...

Shock Management and Hemodynamic Monitoring of Severe Dengue with Fluid Overload: A Case Report [PDF]
Background: Dengue shock syndrome (DSS) is a life-threatening complication of dengue infection characterized by plasma leakage, shock, and organ dysfunction. Fluid management is crucial in DSS, but fluid overload can lead to adverse outcomes.

GCs reduce Parkin, leading to ACSL4 accumulation and PUFA‐phospholipid‐driven ferroptosis in BMSCs, which impairs osteogenesis and promotes adipogenesis, causing GIOP. Parkin restoration (via OE‐Parkin or Parkin‐LNP@DSS6) ubiquitinates and degrades ACSL4, inhibiting ferroptosis, rescuing bone formation, and rescues GIOP bone loss.

A “nutritional trap” strategy centered on disrupting bacterial iron homeostasis is proposed. The synthesized Bi‐TP@FU (TBF) can target Helicobacter pylori, interfere with the bacterial iron uptake and utilization processes to disrupt its iron homeostasis, induce bacterial death, and meanwhile preserve the balance of the intestinal flora.

Closing the Empirical Loop: Autonomous AI Agents Conduct End‐to‐end Research With Human Participants
A multi‐agent AI system autonomously executes the complete scientific workflow, from hypothesis to manuscript, across three psychological studies involving 288 participants. The system designs experiments, collects real world data, develops analysis pipelines, and writes manuscripts with theoretical rigor comparable to experienced researchers.
