Impact of Cattaneo–Christov Heat and Mass Flux on MHD Hybrid Nanofluid Flow Over an Extending Surface With Convective and Mass Flux Effects

open access: yesAsia-Pacific Journal of Chemical Engineering, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT This study investigates the flow of a magnetized hybrid nanofluid over a permeable stretching surface. The mass and thermal transport within the system is regulated using the Cattaneo–Christov flux theory. The fluid is additionally subjected to thermophoresis, chemical reaction, Brownian motion, and activation energy effects.

Experimental investigation of passive tuned mass damper and fluid viscous damper on a slender two dimensional steel frame [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
Vibration is a serious concern for tall buildings added to a natural disaster such as earthquake, wind storms, sea waves and hurricanes. The risk of occurrence of structural damage can be decreased by using a controlled vibration system to increase the ...

Numerical Study of MHD Hybrid Nanofluid Flow With Multiple Slip Effects Over a Variable Porous Stretching Surface

open access: yesAsia-Pacific Journal of Chemical Engineering, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT This work discusses the thermal performance of magnetized hybrid nanofluid flow over a variable porous stretchable surface, emphasizing the underlying physical mechanisms governing heat and mass transfer. The Cattaneo–Christov flux model is used in place of Fourier's and Fick's laws to incorporate relaxation effects, ensuring a more realistic ...

A New Paradigm for Understanding the Rheology and Processability of Poly(p‐Phenylene Terephthalamide) Liquid‐Crystalline Solutions

open access: yesJournal of Applied Polymer Science, EarlyView.
Kevlar is traditionally modeled as a rigid‐rod polymer, yet rheological behavior deviates from this assumption. The review introduces a novel “twist‐tie” entanglement theory for aramid polymer chains in the nematic liquid crystal state, providing a molecular explanation for deviations from rigid‐rod models. Understanding twist‐tie entanglement dynamics

Behaviour of RC building Employed with Fluid Viscous Damper

open access: yesInternational Journal for Research in Applied Science and Engineering Technology
In this thesis we are concentrating on finding the effect of fluid viscous dampers on Multi-storey Using Etabs. A G+12 building was analyzed and from the results it was concluded that Employment of Fluid viscous dampers reduces storey displacement by 50 to 70 % in horizontal X direction and 33.00 to 67.00 %.

Studies on Energy Dissipation Mechanism of an Innovative Viscous Damper Filled with Oil and Silt

open access: yes, 2018
To improve seismic performance of a traditional viscous damper, an innovative viscous damper is proposed, in which the conventional damping medium is replaced by a mixture of oil and silt.

Magnetic lipase B from Candida antarctica (CALB) biocatalyst for integrated valorization of tilapia by‐products and biodiesel biorefining

open access: yesBiofuels, Bioproducts and Biorefining, EarlyView.
Abstract The immobilization of lipase B from Candida antarctica (CALB) on an amino‐epoxy functionalized magnetic support (Fe3O4‐PEI‐DGEBA) resulted in a highly stable and efficient biocatalyst for biofuel production from tilapia oil. The synthesized support was characterized using scanning electron microscopy, transmission electron microscopy, X‐ray ...
