Fluidization control in the wurster coating process [PDF]

open access: yesHemijska Industrija, 2003
Paniculate coating process in a fluidized bed involves different sub processes including particle wetting, spreading and also consolidation or drying of the coating applied. These sub processes are done simultaneously to particle fluidization and motion.

Prognosis of Long‐Term Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy and the Impact of Combined Continuous Intravenous Sodium Infusion Therapy

open access: yesTherapeutic Apheresis and Dialysis, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Introduction Patients requiring long‐term continuous renal replacement therapy (CRRT) generally have poor prognoses. This study evaluated whether adding continuous intravenous sodium infusion (cIVNa) is associated with improved hemodynamics and outcomes in patients undergoing long‐term CRRT for ≥ 7 days.

Minimum fluidization velocities of binary and ternary biomass mixtures with silica sand

open access: yesEnergy Reports, 2020
Minimum fluidization velocity is an important property which can influence the hydrodynamics and chemical conversion in fluidized bed reactor. Most of the fluidized bed boilers usually mix raw biomass solid particles with medium silica sand solid ...

Spatiotemporal and quantitative analyses of phosphoinositides – fluorescent probe—and mass spectrometry‐based approaches

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Fluorescent probes allow dynamic visualization of phosphoinositides in living cells (left), whereas mass spectrometry provides high‐sensitivity, isomer‐resolved quantitation (right). Their synergistic use captures complementary aspects of lipid signaling. This review illustrates how these approaches reveal the spatiotemporal regulation and quantitative

Hydrodynamic Characteristics of a Fluidized Bed with Rotating Distributor [PDF]

open access: yes, 2007
The performance of a novel rotating distributor fluidized bed is presented. The pressure drop and the standard deviation of pressure fluctuations were used to find the minimum fluidization velocity, Umf, and to characterize the quality of fluidization ...

Fluidization of fine coal particles in an ultrasound enhanced gas-solid fluidized bed

open access: yesSouth African Journal of Chemical Engineering
Coal continues to be one of the most important primary energy sources and is a major contributor to economic growth, especially in the developing world. Coal fines are an unavoidable by-product of coal extraction. Fine coal is classified as waste when it

CFD Analysis to Calculate the Optimal Air Velocity in Drying Green Tea Process Using Fluidized Bed Dryer

open access: yesE3S Web of Conferences, 2018
Tea processing is basically distinguished into three types which black tea, green tea, and oolong tea. Green tea is processed by heating and drying the leaves.

Hyperosmotic stress induces PARP1‐mediated HPF1‐dependent mono(ADP‐ribosyl)ation

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Sorbitol‐induced hyperosmotic stress rapidly induces reversible mono(ADP‐ribosyl)ation (MARylation) on PARP1 without the signs of genotoxic signaling. We show that PARP1 autoMARylation is HPF1 dependent and forms hydroxylamine‐resistant O‐glycosidic linkages.

Organizing the interface—Plasma membrane architecture and receptor dynamics in virus‐cell interactions

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Plasma membranes contain dynamic nanoscale domains that organize lipids and receptors. Because viruses operate at similar scales, this architecture shapes early infection steps, including attachment, receptor engagement, and entry. Using influenza A virus and HIV‐1 as examples, we highlight how receptor nanoclusters, multivalent glycan interactions ...

CO2 Capture by Adsorption on Fine Activated Carbon in a Sound Assisted Fluidized Bed

open access: yesChemical Engineering Transactions, 2015
Among all the carbon capture and storage strategies, post-combustion capture can provide a near-term solution for stationary fossil fuel-fired power plants, eliminating the need for extensive modifications to existing combustion processes and facilities.
