Abstract This article addresses the issue of Haitian migration in the Caribbean basin from a geodynamic point of view—that is to say, by focusing on the spatial dynamics of migratory flows that integrate societies of origin, settlement, and transit within the same framework.

Abstract This paper performs a meta‐regression analysis to derive the role of techniques, data and variable's definition on the effect of the labor‐market determinants on interregional migration. We use Spain as a case of study, a country with heterogeneous and even counterintuitive behavior of internal migration flows to its labor‐market drivers.

The beaten paths effect on patient inter‐regional mobility: An application to the Italian NHS
Abstract We study inter‐regional migration flows due to hospital admissions and focus on the impact of migration beaten paths. We estimate a gravity model applied to Italian data for the period 2010–2016. We find that beaten paths have a positive effect on inter‐regional patient flows, with estimated elasticity equal to +0.32%.

Abstract The value of saline lakes and associated wetlands as habitats in the xeric Great Basin is dependent on having water of sufficient quantity and quality to support wetland‐dependent birds. To inform conservation and management of these habitats, models are needed to link birds and hydrological changes due to climate and human water use.
