Soybean (Glycine max) Tolerance to Timing Applications of Pyroxasulfone, Flumioxazin, and Pyroxasulfone + Flumioxazin

Weed Technology, 2014
Four field studies were conducted over a 3-yr period (2011 to 2013) to determine the tolerance of four soybean cultivars to pyroxasulfone (89 and 178 g ai ha−1), flumioxazin (71 and 142 g ai ha−1), and pyroxasulfone + flumioxazin (160 and 320 g ai ha−1) applied either preplant incorporated (PPI), PRE, or at the soybean cotyledon stage (COT).

Cool‐season Weed Response to Flumioxazin

Crop Management, 2007
Cool‐season weed response to flumioxazin applied in February of 2002 and 2003 was evaluated in Louisiana. Plots naturally infested with cool‐season weeds were treated with 840 g ai/ha glyphosate, 530 g ai/ha paraquat, 35 g ai/ha flumioxazin, 70 g/ha flumioxazin, 140 g/ha flumioxazin, 840 g/ha glyphosate plus 35 or 70 g/ha flumioxazin, or 530 g/ha ...

Evaluation of flumioxazin on seven submersed macrophytes in New Zealand

Journal of Aquatic Plant Management, 2021
Several invasive submersed aquatic plant species have established in many waterways within New Zealand, causing substantial economic, recreational, and ecological impacts. The herbicides currently registered for use for the management of submersed aquatic plants do not control all aquatic weed species under field conditions, and additional control ...

Residual effect of pyroxasulphone and pyroxasulphone + flumioxazin on contrasting soils

Concilium, 2023
It aimed to evaluate the residual effect of pyroxasulfone and pyroxasulfone + flumioxazin on different soil textures. Experiments were carried out in Red Latosol and Quartzarenic Neosol, using two doses of pyroxasulfone (100 and 200 g i.a. ha-1) and pyroxasulfone + flumioxazin (100 + 66.67 and 200 + 133.33 g i.a.

Potato Variety Tolerance to Flumioxazin and Sulfentrazone

Weed Technology, 2005
Field studies were conducted at Aberdeen, ID; Ontario, OR; and Paterson, WA, to evaluate potato tolerance to flumioxazin and sulfentrazone. In ‘Russet Burbank’ tolerance trials conducted in 2000 at ID, OR, and WA, sulfentrazone applied preemergence (PRE) at rates ranging from 105 to 280 g ai/ha caused significant injury consisting of stunting, leaf ...

Ecogenotoxicity of a flumioxazin-based herbicide in terrestrial plants

Journal of Toxicology and Environmental Health, Part A
Flumioxazin-based herbicides are frequently used in agriculture to control broadleaf weeds attributed to their high efficacy, rapid action, and residual soil activity, making these compounds a preferred choice over other herbicides in pre-emergence weed control.

Response of Palmer Amaranth and Sweetpotato to Flumioxazin/Pyroxasulfone

Weed Technology, 2018
AbstractStudies were conducted to determine the tolerance of sweetpotato and Palmer amaranth control to a premix of flumioxazin and pyroxasulfone pretransplant (PREtr) followed by (fb) irrigation. Greenhouse studies were conducted in a factorial arrangement of four herbicide rates (flumioxazin/pyroxasulfone PREtr at 105/133 and 57/72 g ai ha–1,S ...

Dissipation and movement of flumioxazin in soil at four field sites in Chile

Pest Management Science, 2008
AbstractBACKGROUND: Flumioxazin is a soil‐applied herbicide recommended for broadleaf weed control in soybeans and peanuts, and was recently introduced for vineyard weed management. Considering the limited information available in relation to flumioxazin field soil behaviour, the main objectives of this study were to determine the persistence ...

Metabolism and physiologically based pharmacokinetic modeling of flumioxazin in pregnant animals

Toxicology and Applied Pharmacology, 2014
A physiologically based pharmacokinetic (PBPK) model was developed to predict the concentration of flumioxazin, in the blood and fetus of pregnant humans during a theoretical accidental intake (1000mg/kg). The data on flumioxazin concentration in pregnant rats (30mg/kg po) was used to develop the PBPK model in pregnant rats using physiological ...

Interaction of Prodiamine and Flumioxazin for Nursery Weed Control

Weed Technology, 2010
Both prodiamine and flumioxazin are used in the nursery production and landscape maintenance industries in the southeastern United States for preemergence weed control. Research was conducted to determine whether a tank mixture of these two herbicides would be more effective than either component applied alone.
