Fluopyram SDHI pesticide alters fish physiology and behaviour despite low in vitro effects on mitochondria [PDF]

open access: yesEcotoxicology and Environmental Safety
Pollution from pesticides is an increasing concern for human health and biodiversity conservation. However, there is lack of knowledge about some emerging molecules such as SDHI fungicides (succinate dehydrogenase inhibitors) that are widely used but ...

Genetic Differentiation in the SdhC Subunit Confers Intrinsic Resistance to SDHI Fungicides in Fusarium asiaticum. [PDF]

open access: yesMol Plant Pathol
In Fusarium asiaticum, two homologous SdhC subunits (FaSdhC1/C2) regulate sensitivity to SDHI fungicides: deletion of FaSDHC1 decreases sensitivity, while deletion of FaSDHC2 increases it. Multiple mutations in ΔFaSDHC2 confer resistance to SDHI fungicides.

Formation of trifluoroacetic acid from common trifluoromethyl pesticides in agricultural soils. [PDF]

open access: yesJ Environ Qual
Abstract The short‐chain per‐ and polyfluoroalkyl substances trifluoroacetic acid (TFA) has been recognized as a degradation product of only three pesticides, but many other trifluoromethyl pesticides (C–CF3 pesticides) may potentially produce TFA based on their molecular structure.

Molecular Mechanism Underlying Resistance Variation to the Novel Agrochemical Quinofumelin in Fusarium graminearum. [PDF]

open access: yesMol Plant Pathol
The D155T, V179E, V179D and N281A mutations in FgDHODHII altered the binding mode of quinofumelin, resulting in diminished affinity and a negative correlation between binding affinity and the resistance level of these mutants. ABSTRACT Quinofumelin, a quinoline‐based fungicide, demonstrated potent antifungal activity against Fusarium graminearum, the ...
