Variously Substituted Cyclopenta[2,1‐b:3,4‐b’]difluorenyl Radicals: A Validation of Clar's Rule

Clar's empiric rule implies that the most contributing resonance formula is that with the maximum number of fully intact benzene rings. This is now further supported experimentally by the synthesis of two further, differently substituted cyclopenta[2,1‐b:3,4‐b’]difluorenyl radicals.

Visible‐Light‐Gated Rh‐Catalyzed Intermolecular [2 + 2 + 2] Cycloaddition of Alkynes Enabled by Coordination‐State Control

Visible‐light‐gated Rh catalysis enables intermolecular [2 + 2 + 2] cycloaddition of alkynes via coordination‐state control. Blue‐light irradiation promotes ligand dissociation to generate coordinatively unsaturated Rh species that enable multialkyne coordination and cyclotrimerization.

Redox Modulation in Truxene‐Based Phosphaalkenes Through Peripheral Substitution

Peripheral halogenation, followed by the sequential incorporation of one, two, and three phosphaalkene acceptor units, induces progressive distortion of the truxene framework, modulates the frontier molecular orbital energies, and systematically shifts the reduction potentials to milder values.
