Biomimetic Dynamics of Nanoscale Groove and Ridge Topography for Stem Cell Regulation

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Dynamic nanoscale groove‐ridge structures are engineered by flexibly conjugating RGD‐magnetic nanoparticles to nanogroove templates with variable groove widths at the molecular scale. Magnetic control enables cyclic switching between nanoscale groove and ridge states that modulates ligand accessibility of cellular integrins.

Observation of ultra-high energy cosmic rays with the Telescope Array experiment

open access: yesEPJ Web of Conferences, 2018
The origin of ultra-high energy cosmic rays (UHECRs) has been a longstanding mystery. The Telescope Array (TA) is the largest experiment in the northern hemisphere observing UHECR in Utah, USA. It aims to reveal the origin of UHECR by studying the energy

Towards monitoring conformational changes of the GPCR neurotensin receptor 1 by single-molecule FRET [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2018
Neurotensin receptor 1 (NTSR1) is a G protein-coupled receptor that is important for signaling in the brain and the gut. Its agonist ligand neurotensin (NTS), a 13-amino-acid peptide, binds with nanomolar affinity from the extracellular side to NTSR1 and induces conformational changes that trigger intracellular signaling processes.

Ligand-induced oligomerization of the human GPCR neurotensin receptor 1 monitored in living HEK293T cells [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2019
The human neurotensin receptor 1 (NTSR1) is a G protein-coupled receptor that can be expressed in HEK293T cells by stable transfection. Its ligand is a 13-amino-acid peptide that binds with nanomolar affinity from the extracellular side to NTSR1. Ligand binding induces conformational changes that trigger the intracellular signaling processes.

Ultra‐Fine 3D Bioprinting of Dynamic Hyaluronic Acid Hydrogel for in Vitro Modeling

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
3D bioprinting merges tissue engineering and additive manufacturing to create biological structures. A bioink is developed by modifying hyaluronic acid, a natural extracellular matrix polymer, with cysteine. Potassium iodide is later added to tune gelation kinetics, enabling fine printing with a 32G needle.
