Spectroscopic and thermodynamic characterization of the interaction of a new synthesized antitumor drug candidate 2H4MBBH with human serum albumin [PDF]
In the present work we studied the interactions of a newly synthesized drug candidate, 2-(2-hydroxy-4-methoxybenzylidene)-1-(1H-benzimidazol-2-yl)hydrazine (2H4MBBH), with human serum albumin (HSA) by fluorescence spectroscopy.

Optimizing photoexcitation conditions for time‐resolved X‐ray solution scattering experiments
Time‐resolved X‐ray solution scattering (TR‐XSS) is a powerful technique to visualize how proteins change their structure in real time after light activation. Selecting the right laser photoexcitation conditions—fluence, excitation geometry, and sample refresh rate—is critical to maximize the experimental signal while avoiding unwanted side effects ...

Adenosine triphosphate as a modulator of protein interactions and stability
ATP is best known as the cell's energy currency, but it also shapes how proteins fold, interact, aggregate and form biomolecular condensates. This review explains the emerging physical principles behind these effects, including weak binding to charged protein regions, magnesium‐dependent behaviour and concentration‐dependent control of protein ...

DNA Analysis by Fluorescence Quenching Detection [PDF]
The analysis of human genetic variations such as single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) has great applications in genome-wide association studies of complex genetic traits. We have developed an SNP genotyping method based on the primer extension assay with fluorescence quenching as the detection.

GelMA‐based 3D spheroids recapitulate transcriptomic and functional hallmarks of myeloid sarcoma
GelMA 5% hydrogels support the formation of myeloid leukemia spheroids that recapitulate MS‐specific features, including G1 arrest, apoptosis, and ECM‐driven transcriptomic reprogramming. The 3D model mimicked soft‐tissue‐like stiffness and oxygen conditions, and transcriptomic convergence with primary MS samples confirmed its utility as a preclinical ...

Comparative Studies on the Interaction of Cochinchinenin A and Loureirin B with Bovine Serum Albumin
This paper describes the simple, sensitive, and effective spectrophotometric methods based on ultraviolet, fluorescence and circular dichroism for revealing the interactional mechanism of Cochinchinenin A (CA) and Loureirin B (LB) with bovine serum ...

Fluorescence Enhancement and Quenching in Tip-Enhanced Fluorescence Spectroscopy
We study fluorescence enhancement for a dipole emitter placed between a tip and different dielectric substrates. Resonant behavior is observed as a function of tip-substrate distance for a silver tip placed above a glass substrate and displays a strong dependence on the radius of the curvature of the tip.

ABSTRACT Objective To evaluate the expression of nine blood RNA biomarkers in a clinical trial based on genes previously identified in an experimental monkey model of stroke for diagnosis feasibility and prognostication. Methods IBIS‐CT1 was a prospective longitudinal study enrolling patients with ischemic stroke (IS) or intracerebral hemorrhage (ICH ...
