Actin, α-actinin, and tropomyosin interaction in the structural organization of actin filaments in nonmuscle cells [PDF]
During the spreading of a population of rat embryo cells, approximately 40% of the cells develop a strikingly regular network which precedes the formation of the straight actin filament bundles seen in the fully spread out cells.

Patterns of gene expression in schistosomes: localization by whole mount in situ hybridization [PDF]
rom the identification of genes to the characterization of their functions and interactions. Developmental biologists have long used whole mount in situ hybridization (WISH) to determine gene expression patterns, as a vital tool for formulating and ...

Single-cell western blotting. [PDF]
To measure cell-to-cell variation in protein-mediated functions, we developed an approach to conduct ∼10(3) concurrent single-cell western blots (scWesterns) in ∼4 h.

A surgical model of short bowel syndrome induces a long-lasting increase in pancreatic beta-cell mass [PDF]
Several surgical techniques are used nowadays as a severe treatment for obesity and diabetes mellitus type 2. These techniques are aggressive due to drastic changes in the nutrient flow and non-reversible modifications on the digestive tube.
