Study on the value of detecting early secretory antigenic target-6 in cerebrospinal fluid monocytes by laser scanning confocal microscopy techniques in the early diagnosis of tuberculous meningitis

open access: yesChinese Journal of Contemporary Neurology and Neurosurgery, 2016
Objective To explore the value of detecting early secretory antigenic target-6 (ESAT-6) in cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) monocytes by laser scanning confocal microscopy (LSCM) techniques in early diagnosis of tuberculous meningitis (TBM), and to find a ...

Hyperosmotic stress‐induced redistribution of pre‐mRNA cleavage factor I subunits is associated with shifts in alternative polyadenylation

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Hyperosmotic stress triggers the relocation of the CFIm complex from the nucleus to the cytoplasm. This shift creates a nuclear ‘stoichiometric bottleneck’, limiting CFIm availability for mRNA processing. Consequently, specific mRNAs like NUDT21 and DICER1 undergo targeted 3′UTR shortening, demonstrating how spatial protein dynamics drive rapid ...

(The) detection of toxocara canis and ascaris suum antibodies in mouse by fluorescent antibody technique

open access: yes, 1980

Studies on the Skin Lesions of Measles I. A Preliminary Experiment with Infected Cell Line and Light Microscopic and Fluorescent Antibody Technique Observations on the Skin Lesions.

open access: yes, 1972
The skin lesions of measles were studied under light microscopy and the fluorescent antibody technique. A preliminary experiment using infected VERO cells was carried out to determine the effect of measles virus infection on the infected cells.

Estimation of sensitivity and specificity of antinuclear antibody by automated indirect immunofluorescence and enzyme-linked immunoassay [PDF]

open access: yesMedical Laboratory Journal
Background: Immunofluorescence and serology analysis are the most common laboratory methods for diagnosing antinuclear antibodies in autoimmune diseases and are paramount for screening and therapeutic purposes. This study aims to estimate the sensitivity

Evaluating the involvement of autolysosomes in the nuclear translocation of fluorescent proteins

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Endogenously expressed fluorescent proteins can be degraded by autophagy and transported to cell nuclei via the nuclear pore complex. But in some cell lines, for example, HeLa cells which are positive for immunoreactivity of a receptor ligand, such as UCN I, in cell nuclei, fusion of autolysosome with the nuclear envelope is involved in the nuclear ...

Cellular delivery of antibodies: effective targeted subcellular imaging and new therapeutic tool

open access: yes, 2010
It is already more than a century since the pioneering work of the Nobel Laureate Ehrlich gave birth to the side chain theory1, which helped to define antibodies and their ability to target specific biological sites.

Loss of AMBRA1 activates MAPK and angiogenesis signaling pathways in melanoma cells

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Loss of AMBRA1 in melanoma cells activates multiple oncogenic pathways associated with tumor progression. Transcriptomic and protein network analyses revealed that AMBRA1 depletion enhances MAPK/ERK signaling, angiogenesis, TGF‐β/EMT signaling, and Wnt/axon guidance pathways.
