Engineering Fluoroacetate Dehalogenase by Growth‐Based Selections on Non‐Natural Organofluorides
We present a high‐throughput selection system to engineer fluoroacetate dehalogenases (FAcDs). By challenging E. coli populations that produce diverse FAcD libraries to grow on non‐natural organofluorides as their sole carbon source, we isolated a panel of FAcD variants with improved activity and altered substrate specificity.

Enhancing the d–Electrocatalytic Activity of MXene Through Defect Engineering
Applications of MXene. ABSTRACT Due to their versatile and tunable surface and bulk chemistry, MXenes have great potential as electrocatalysts for batteries and supercapacitors. When compared with other electrocatalytic processes, in electrocatalytic reactions, MXenes could improve ion diffusion and charge transfer by either providing functional groups

Defluorination of Sodium Fluoroacetate by Bacteria from Soil and Plants in Brazil
The aim of this work was to isolate and identify bacteria able to degrade sodium fluoroacetate from soil and plant samples collected in areas where the fluoroacetate-containing plants Mascagnia rigida and Palicourea aenofusca are found.

Plasma Fluoride Levels in Rabbits Acutely Poisoned with Sodium Fluoride
SummaryFollowing acutely toxic oral doses of sodium fluoride, plasma F levels (normal–0.01 to 0.07 ppm) promptly rose to high values; doses of 100 to 140 mg/kg gave one hour plasma F concentrations of 12 to 41 ppm. One hour plasma F values over 28 ppm were associated with death in 12 hr or less.

Synthesis of Sulfur Heterocycles by Palladium‐Catalyzed Cyclization
In spite of the well‐known palladium thiophilicity, sulfur‐containing acyclic substrates may efficiently undergo several different kinds of palladium‐catalyzed cyclization processes leading to highly important sulfur heterocycles in one synthetic step. Advances in this challenging and stimulating field of research are presented in this review.
