The Role of Fluorine-18-Fluorodeoxyglucose Positron Emission Tomography in Aggressive Histological Subtypes of Thyroid Cancer: An Overview

open access: yesInternational Journal of Endocrinology, 2013
Aggressive histological subtypes of thyroid cancer are rare and have a poor prognosis. The most important aggressive subtypes of thyroid cancer are Hürthle cell carcinoma (HCTC) and anaplastic and poorly differentiated carcinoma (ATC and PDTC).

Polaronic and Electrochemical Signatures in Group IVB (Ti, Zr, Hf) Oxides: Unified SKP–DFT Insights for Tunable Transport in Energy and Electronic Devices

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Charge carrier concentration and mobility in TiO2, ZrO2, and HfO2 powder films are experimentally mapped as a function of temperature. The results uncover polaron‐mediated transport regimes and field‐activated conduction, enabling the design of oxide‐based electronic and energy devices with thermally tunable functionality.

High‐Entropy Doped KTiOPO4‐Type Vanadium‐Based Fluorophosphate Cathodes for High‐Energy Sodium‐Ion Batteries

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This work presents a high‐entropy doped NaV0.95 (Fe, Mn, Ni, Al, Ca)0.05PO4F cathode, which enables the whole utilization of Na ions, enhances the reaction kinetics without carbon coating, and realizes a solid‐solution reaction mechanism with a single‐crystal structure.

Development of Customized [18F]Fluoride Elution Techniques for the Enhancement of Copper-Mediated Late-Stage Radiofluorination

open access: yesScientific Reports, 2017
In a relatively short period of time, transition metal-mediated radiofluorination reactions have changed the PET radiochemistry landscape. These reactions have enabled the radiofluorination of a wide range of substrates, facilitating access to ...

Study of the Tissue Distribution of TLQP-21 in Mice Using [18F]JMV5763, a Radiolabeled Analog Prepared via [18F]Aluminum Fluoride Chelation Chemistry

open access: yesFrontiers in Pharmacology, 2018
TLQP-21 is a neuropeptide that is involved in the control of several physiological functions, including energy homeostasis. Since TLQP-21 could oppose the early phase of diet-induced obesity, it has raised a huge interest, but very little is known about ...

Host‐Guest Inclusion Chemistry From Supramolecular Architecture Enabling Anti‐Biofouling Surfaces for Oesophagus Stents

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A slippery coating with exceptional anti‐biofouling performance is developed using biocompatible materials for oesophagus stents. Host‐guest inclusion complex formation capabilities of FDA‐approved supramolecules, cyclodextrins are exploited, which significantly enhances the stability of the surface.
