Highly p-doped graphene obtained by fluorine intercalation [PDF]

open access: yes, 2011
We present a method for decoupling epitaxial graphene grown on SiC(0001) by intercalation of a layer of fluorine at the interface. The fluorine atoms do not enter into a covalent bond with graphene, but rather saturate the substrate Si bonds.

Analysis of intermolecular interactions in homologous molecular crystals of energetic materials

open access: yesEnergetic Materials Frontiers, 2020
s: Crystal packing modes determine the energy and safety performance of energetic materials (EMs) to some extent. To deepen the understanding of the intermolecular interactions in the crystal packings, the homologous molecular crystals of energetic ...

Extra contribution to the crystal stability of insensitive explosive TATB: The cooperativity of intermolecular interactions

open access: yesDefence Technology, 2023
An in-depth analysis on the cooperativity of intermolecular interactions including hydrogen bonding and π-π stacking in 1,3,5-triamino-2,4,6-trinitrobenzene (TATB) crystal was studied.

A flourish of fluorine [PDF]

open access: yesNature Chemistry, 2010
Herbert Roesky relates how the small, highly electronegative fluorine atom unveiled the chemical reactivity of noble gases and found many practical applications. but it can also render organic compounds highly toxic or pollutants.

On the origin of fluorine in the Milky Way

open access: yes, 2004
The main astrophysical factories of fluorine (19F) are thought to be Type II supernovae, Wolf-Rayet stars, and the asymptotic giant branch (AGB) of intermediate mass stars.

Pd/SAPO-34 passive NO x adsorbers: Stable Pd ion adsorption sites in six-member rings

open access: yesMaterials Research Express, 2021
Pd/zeolites with chabazite (CHA) topology are effective passive NO _x adsorbers (PNAs), which are promising for the removal of NO _x from diesel exhausts during cold start to meet increasingly stringent emission regulations.

Fluorine abundances in planetary nebulae

open access: yes, 2005
We have determined fluorine abundances from the F II 4789 and F IV 4060 nebular emission lines for a sample of planetary nebulae (PNe). Our results show that fluorine is generally overabundant in PNe, thus providing new evidence for the synthesis of ...
