Electronic Structures and Optical Properties of Partially and Fully Fluorinated Graphene [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015
In this letter we study the electronic structures and optical properties of partially and fully fluorinated graphene by a combination of abinitio G0W0 calculations and large-scale multi-orbital tight-binding simulations.

Highly p-doped graphene obtained by fluorine intercalation [PDF]

open access: yes, 2011
We present a method for decoupling epitaxial graphene grown on SiC(0001) by intercalation of a layer of fluorine at the interface. The fluorine atoms do not enter into a covalent bond with graphene, but rather saturate the substrate Si bonds.

Electrocatalytic conversion of lithium polysulfides by highly dispersed ultrafine Mo2C nanoparticles on hollow N‐doped carbon flowers for Li‐S batteries

open access: yesEcoMat, 2020
The significant challenge in exploring novel nanostructured sulfur host materials for Li‐S batteries is to simultaneously mitigate the notorious shuttle effect and catalytically enhance the redox kinetics of lithium polysulfides (LPSs).

The IRAM-30m line survey of the Horsehead PDR: I. CF+ as a tracer of C+ and a measure of the Fluorine abundance [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
C+ is a key species in the interstellar medium but its 158 {\mu}m fine structure line cannot be observed from ground-based telescopes. Current models of fluorine chemistry predict that CF+ is the second most important fluorine reservoir, in regions where

Facile Preparation and Properties of Crosslinked Copolyether Elastomers with 1,2,3‐Triazole and Urethane Subunit via Click Polymerization

open access: yesChemistryOpen, 2019
An azide terminated ethylene oxide‐tetrahydrofuran copolymer with urethane segments (ATUPET) as a novel binder pre‐polymer, has been prepared through ethylene oxide‐tetrahydrofuran random copolymer (PET) end‐capping modification via one‐pot method.

Novel Energetic Coordination Polymers Based on 1,5-Di(nitramino)tetrazole With High Oxygen Content and Outstanding Properties: Syntheses, Crystal Structures, and Detonation Properties

open access: yesFrontiers in Chemistry, 2019
In this study, a series of novel 1,5-di(nitramino)tetrazole (DNAT)-based bimetallic energetic coordination polymers, MK2(DNAT)2·4H2O [M = Fe, Cu, Ni, Co, and Zn], were designed and synthesized in a simple and convenient self-assembly synthetic process ...

The Origin of Fluorine: Abundances in AGB Carbon Stars Revisited [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015
Revised spectroscopic parameters for the HF molecule and a new CN line list in the 2.3 mu region have been recently available, allowing a revision of the F content in AGB stars. AGB carbon stars are the only observationally confirmed sources of fluorine.

Fluorine alopecia [PDF]

open access: yesEpidemiology and Infection, 1946
A high proportion of young men in this country suffer from premature baldness. Alopecia is not a disease entity but one of the outstanding features of chronic fluorine poisoning (fluorosis). It is frequently associated with dystrophies of other organs of ectodermal origin, namely, those of the skin and its other appendages, the teeth and nails.

Gram-to-Kilogram Scale-Up Synthesis of 2,2’-Diallylbisphenol through a Microchannel Reactor [PDF]

open access: yesIranian Journal of Chemistry & Chemical Engineering, 2023
A continuous-flow synthetic platform utilizing a microchannel reactor was developed here to realize the gram-to-kilogram scale-up synthesis of 2,2’-diallylbisphenol A (DABPA) via thermal Claisen rearrangement with high efficiency and safety.
