Speckle‐Engineered Upconversion Amplification in Nanoemulsion‐Templated Hydrogel Microdomes

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Nanoemulsion‐confined PEGDA microdomes generate speckle‐like excitation fields that strongly amplify upconversion luminescence upon dehydration, enabling filter‐free visible readout with reversible on–off switching. DMD‐based lithography yields scalable, shape‐programmable arrays for moisture‐responsive displays and optical encryption.

Thermal Behavior of Fluorinated Double-Walled Carbon Nanotubes [PDF]

open access: yes, 2006
Double-walled carbon nanotubes (DWNTs), produced by a catalytic chemical vapor deposition method, have been fluorinated using a volatile mixture of BrF3 and Br2.

Mapping Nanoscale Protein‐Corona Kinetics of DoE‐Optimized Perfluorocarbon Encapsulated‐PLGA Nanoparticles by In Situ, Time‐Resolved Synchrotron SAXS

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
A two‐phase workflow (OFAT screening followed by central composite design) maps how processing variables tune PFCE‐PLGA nanoparticle size, dispersity, surface charge, loading, and 19F‐MRI signal. In situ, time‐resolved synchrotron SAXS tracks albumin‐corona growth on intact dispersions and reveals PFCE‐dependent adsorption pathways.

New Fluorescent Probes Applicable to Aggregates of Fluorocarbon Surfactants

open access: yesJournal of Oleo Science, 2007
We developed new benzofurazan (NBD) labeled probes for fluorocarbon surfactant systems. The fluorescence behavior depended on the solubilization site of the fluorescent probes in the surfactant aggregates. The NBD-labeled probes suffered virtually complete reduction in the presence of Na(2)S(2)O(4) owing to the solubilization at the surface of 2 ...

ENRICHMENT OF NONIONIC SURFACTANTS WITH FLUOROCARBON POLYMER MEMBRANE [PDF]

open access: yesChemistry Letters, 1985
Abstract Nonionic surfactants were enriched by the permeation through a fluorocarbon polymer membrane under a pressure gradient when the concentration of the surfactants were low. The enrichment factor increased with a decrease in the operating pressure and an increase in the lipophilicity of the surfactant.

Electrically Assisted Thermal Stamping of Tunable Carbon‐Based Nanofilms for Direct Fabrication of Hydrophobic, Energy Harvesting, and Sensing Devices

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Schematic illustration of the electrically assisted thermal stamping (EATS) method for direct fabrication of carbon‐based nanofilms and their multifunctional applications. Localized Joule heating triggers simultaneous exfoliation, reduction, and fluoropolymer incorporation under ambient conditions, yielding tunable carbon‐based thin‐film coatings ...

A nano-particle foam unloading agent applied in unloading liquid of deep gas well

open access: yesPetroleum Exploration and Development, 2016
To solve the problem of unloading liquid of deep gas well with high gas temperature and salinity, high concentrations of H2S gas and condensate oil, a nanoparticle foam unloading agent was developed and evaluated, and the field test was carried out.

3D Printed Omniphobic Slippery Liquid Infused Porous Surfaces for Low Surface Tension Repellency

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, EarlyView.
A 3D printing strategy fabricates omniphobic slippery liquid‐infused porous structures with lubricant reservoirs and interconnected microchannels. A post‐printing surface treatment modifies the porous surface to ensure compatibility with the infused fluorinated lubricant.

Regulating Solvent‐Separated Ion Pairs to Control Polysulfide Redox for Fast and Stable Room‐Temperature Na‐S Batteries

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A local high‐concentration electrolyte with tailored solvent‐separated ion pairs is pioneered to design for room‐temperature sodium‐sulfur batteries. This electrolyte allows sparingly dissolved polysulfides and localizes them onto reactive interfaces for liquid‐solid conversion.

Synthesis of short-chain fluorocarbon surfactant: Enhancing surface and foam performance through hydrocarbon surfactants compounding

open access: yesCase Studies in Thermal Engineering
The research of short-chain fluorocarbon surfactants is crucial in effectively and environmentally extinguishing petrochemical fires. In this study, a short-chain fluorocarbon surfactant named 2H,2H-perfluorooctanoic acid sodium salt (PFH-CA) was ...
