Electrochemical Characterization of Novel Polyantimonic-Acid-Based Proton Conductors for Low- and Intermediate-Temperature Fuel Cells

open access: yesApplied Sciences, 2021
The development of novel proton-conducting membrane materials for electrochemical power units, i.e., low temperature fuel cells (FCs), efficiently working up to 300 °C, is a critical problem related to the rapid shift to hydrogen energy.

Enhancing Mucus Flow and Clearance by Grafting Zwitterionic Hydrogel Films to Luminal Surfaces

open access: yesLaryngoscope Investigative Otolaryngology, Volume 10, Issue 2, April 2025.
Zwitterionic hydrogel films on typical medical materials reduce resistance to mucus flow, increase mucus discharge, and may facilitate faster clearance of dried mucus. These effects are most pronounced on tubes of larger diameter. ABSTRACT Objective To determine the effects of zwitterionic hydrogel films on mucus contact angles, flow, and stasis with ...

MECHANOMAGNETIC REACTOR FOR ACTIVATION OF ANTICANCER DRUGS [PDF]

open access: yesBiotechnologia Acta, 2014
Mechanomagnetochemical activation can increase the concentration of paramagnetic centers (free radicals) in the anticancer drug, for example, doxorubicin that enables to influence its magnetic properties under external electromagnetic field and improve ...

The feasibility of endoscopic stapes surgery: A three‐dimensional planning method

open access: yesLaryngoscope Investigative Otolaryngology, Volume 10, Issue 1, February 2025.
The accuracy of a semi‐automatic algorithm in assessing the feasibility and complexity of endoscopic stapes surgery preoperatively was investigated. A preoperative planning model can assist ENT surgeons and improve their confidence. Abstract Objective The primary aim of this study was to investigate the accuracy of a semi‐automatic algorithm in ...

In Situ Growth of Mushroom‐Shaped Adhesive Structures on Flat/Curved Surfaces via Electrical Modulation

open access: yesAdvanced Science, Volume 11, Issue 48, December 26, 2024.
Geometrical distortions during the transfer process limit the adhesion strength of gecko‐inspired adhesives on curved surfaces, especially undevelopable surfaces. A method capable of growing mushroom‐shaped adhesion structures in situ on surfaces with different curvatures is realized by applying a modulated electric field.

ELASTO-PLASTIC BENDING OF A FLUOROPLASTIC TAPE AT BENDING IN A RING

open access: yesВесці Нацыянальнай акадэміі навук Беларусі: Серыя фізіка-тэхнічных навук, 2017
A technological process of production of sealing fluoroplastic rings from a band workpiece is considered and the possibility of their production by a method of cold coiling of the tape on a cylindrical mandrel is investigated; the helix is cut in rings ...

Fastening in concrete vs. rock mass—Comparative determination of pull‐out loads for artificially created discontinuities in concrete

open access: yesStructural Concrete, Volume 25, Issue 6, Page 4379-4391, December 2024.
Abstract Possible discontinuities in the subsurface have a major impact on the load‐bearing behavior of post‐installed fastenings. For concrete, the behavior of post‐installed anchors and thus their design can be clearly addressed as concrete is assumed as a homogeneous fastening substrate.

Analytical method for determining the temperature dependence of the thermal conductivity coefficient

open access: yesФізика і хімія твердого тіла
The paper developed an analytical method for determining the temperature dependence of the thermal conductivity coefficient, which is based on the approximation of the temperature field obtained using an infrared thermal imaging camera by the solution of

Superior stable high‐voltage LiCoO2 enabled by modification with a layer of lithiated polyvinylidene fluoride‐derived LiF

open access: yesCarbon Energy, Volume 6, Issue 10, October 2024.
We built a dense and conformal LiF modification layer on the LiCoO2 surface by pyrolysis of a lithiated polyvinylidene fluoride coating under an air atmosphere. The as‐obtained LiF layer can effectively suppress the interfacial side reactions and surface structure degradation, and thereby greatly enhance the high‐voltage cycling stability of the LiCoO2
