Earthworm‐Inspired Ultra‐Durable Sliding Triboelectric Nanogenerator with Bionic Self‐Replenishing Lubricating Property for Wind Energy Harvesting and Self‐Powered Intelligent Sports Monitoring

open access: yesAdvanced Science, Volume 11, Issue 28, July 24, 2024.
Inspired by the physiological behavior of earthworms, an innovative ultra‐durable sliding‐freestanding triboelectric nanogenerator (SF‐TENG) is designed, featuring a self‐replenishing lubricating property. It is endowed with remarkable wear resistance and outstanding output stability, with only a 1% attenuation after consecutive 100 000 cycles.

Investigation of Isolated IrF5−, IrF6− Anions and M[IrF6] (M=Na, K, Rb, Cs) Ion Pairs by Matrix‐Isolation Spectroscopy and Relativistic Quantum‐Chemical Calculations

open access: yesChemistry – A European Journal, Volume 30, Issue 34, June 17, 2024.
The IR spectra of molecular IrF5−, IrF6− anions and M[IrF6] (M=Na, K, Rb, Cs) ion pairs isolated in rare‐gas matrices are presented. The closed‐shell IrF6− anion with Oh symmetry stabilized by SOC effects has been verified spectroscopically in the low‐temperature matrices.

Synthesis of Hierarchical Superhydrophilic/Superhydrophobic Nanostructured Surfaces for Oil/Water Separation

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Interfaces, Volume 11, Issue 9, March 22, 2024.
This research envisions the potential of special wetting surfaces in various industries. Using electrochemical deposition and liquid immersion, superhydrophilic and superoleophobic surfaces are created with remarkable self‐cleaning, breathability, and over 96% efficiency in oil/water separation. These surfaces showcase excellent mechanical and chemical
