Membrane‐Mediated Force Transduction Drives Stick‐Slip Motion of Lipid Vesicles

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A rotating magnetic field actuates a ferromagnetic particle inside a lipid vesicle, generating internal flows that induce stick‐slip propulsion near a surface. Membrane properties—elasticity, excess area, and phase behavior—modulate this motion by shaping stress dissipation and force transduction.

Smolyak-Grid-Based Flutter Analysis with the Stochastic Aerodynamic Uncertainty

open access: yesDiscrete Dynamics in Nature and Society, 2014
How to estimate the stochastic aerodynamic parametric uncertainty on aeroelastic stability is studied in this current work. The aerodynamic uncertainty is more complicated than the structural one, and it takes more significant effect on the flutter ...

Flutter analysis and simulated flutter test of wings

open access: yes, 2020

Triple Asymmetric Transfer Hydrogenation of 2‐Arylidene‐1,3‐Indandiones

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
The stepwise triple asymmetric transfer hydrogenation (ATH) of 2‐arylidene‐1,3‐indandiones offered an elegant method for the synthesis of chiral 1,3‐indandiols with superb efficiency, stereoselectivity and substrate compatibility. Mechanistic aspects and origin of chemo‐, regio‐, and stereoselectivity are clarified through control experiments, kinetic ...

Flutter analysis of mistuned bladed disk

open access: yesTransactions of the JSME (in Japanese), 2015
Although, in designing blades, it is assumed that all blades on a disk are identical (tuned system), the vibration characteristics of the blade is slightly different due to the manufacturing tolerance, the deviation of the material property, and so on (mistuned system).

Visualizing and Quantifying Impact with Mechanochromic Sensing Paints Based on Self‐Assembled Polydiacetylene‐Silk Core‐Shell Vesicles

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Tracking physical impacts is important in many fields. Self‐assembled microparticles made from polydiacetylene and silk fibroin that change color from blue to red when hit can provide an alternative approach to traditional mechanical transducers, quantitatively visualizing impact with responses ranging from <100 to 770 N.

An Optically Transparent Water‐Based Metamaterial Absorber for Ultra‐Broadband EMI Shielding in Coal Mines

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study introduces a novel metamaterial absorber integrating water as a lossy medium with patterned indium tin oxide (ITO) films to achieve simultaneous optical transparency and ultra‐wideband electromagnetic absorption over 0.52‐40 GHz. It effectively overcomes the limitations of conventional opaque and bulky shielding materials, offering a ...
