A Comprehensive Echocardiographic Assessment of Patients With Chronic Myeloid Leukemia on Dasatinib

open access: yesEchocardiography, Volume 43, Issue 6, June 2026.
In a retrospective cohort of 199 adult patients with CML on Dasatinib in a single quaternary center, approximately 25% patients had routine baseline and follow‐up echocardiogram. Dasatinib was associated with significant changes in structural and diastolic parameters.

Real‐World Selection of Venetoclax‐Obinutuzumab Versus BTK Inhibitor Therapy for Treatment‐Naïve Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia/Small Lymphocytic Lymphoma

open access: yesEuropean Journal of Haematology, Volume 116, Issue 6, Page 845-849, June 2026.
ABSTRACT Introduction Novel targeted agents have transformed the treatment of chronic lymphocytic leukemia/small lymphocytic lymphoma (CLL/SLL), including continuous BTK inhibitor (BTKi) therapy and time‐limited regimens such as venetoclax‐obinutuzumab (Ven‐O) and ibrutinib‐venetoclax (I + V).

Acalabrutinib in Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia: Pharmacology and Emerging Clinical Perspectives

open access: yesEuropean Journal of Haematology, Volume 116, Issue 6, Page 759-770, June 2026.
ABSTRACT Acalabrutinib, a second‐generation Bruton's tyrosine kinase inhibitor (BTKi), is characterized by enhanced specificity and selectivity for BTK with minimal off‐target effects, offering a significant evolution in the treatment of chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL). Its mechanism of action, a covalent binding to Cys481 within the BTK active site,

Prevalence and Characteristics of Cardiac Arrhythmia in Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy: A Retrospective, Single‐Center Holter Electrocardiographic Monitoring Study

open access: yesEuropean Journal of Neurology, Volume 33, Issue 6, June 2026.
In this retrospective single‐center study of 1018 routine Holter ECG recordings from 167 patients with Duchenne muscular dystrophy, nonsustained ventricular tachycardia and frequent premature ventricular complexes were common. Reduced left ventricular function was the strongest associated factor, supporting regular Holter monitoring for patients at ...

A Comprehensive Assessment of Renal Function During and After Pulsed Field Ablation

open access: yesJournal of Cardiovascular Electrophysiology, Volume 37, Issue 6, Page 1259-1267, June 2026.
ABSTRACT Background Acute kidney injury is an uncommon complication of pulsed field ablation (PFA). There is, however, limited empirical data on the dynamics of renal biomarkers apart from creatinine. Furthermore, no study to date has assessed creatinine at more than 24 h after the procedure. Methods Patients undergoing PFA for atrial fibrillation (AF)

Comparison of Integrated 3D Electroanatomic Mapping and Conventional Mapping Systems for Pentaspline Pulsed Field Ablation of Atrial Fibrillation

open access: yesJournal of Cardiovascular Electrophysiology, Volume 37, Issue 6, Page 1353-1355, June 2026.
ABSTRACT Introduction Pulsed field ablation (PFA) is an established therapy for atrial fibrillation (AF), yet optimal mapping strategies during pentaspline PFA remain uncertain. We compared procedural characteristics and material costs of an integrated 3D electroanatomic mapping (EAM) platform with conventional mapping systems. Methods and Results In a

Comparison of HEMOlysis Markers Among Three Pulsed Field Ablation Systems: HEMO‐PFA Study

open access: yesJournal of Cardiovascular Electrophysiology, Volume 37, Issue 6, Page 1249-1258, June 2026.
ABSTRACT Background Pulsed field ablation (PFA) has emerged as a novel non‐thermal modality for atrial fibrillation (AF) ablation. While hemolysis is a known complication of PFA, comparative data among different systems remain limited. Methods We prospectively enrolled 150 consecutive AF patients undergoing ablation with one of three PFA systems ...
