Pulsar Flux-Density Spectra

open access: yesThe Astrophysical Journal, 1974
Time-averaged flux-density spectra of ten pulsars have been obtained on the basis of simultaneous observations at six frequencies between 250 and 8085 MHz. The effects of interstellar scintillation on the accuracy of the measurements are discussed. All of the pulsars exhibited a power-law spectrum at high frequencies with spectral indices between ...

Conserved binding mode but diverse interfaces of MreC‐PBP2 interactions

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
The crystal structure of abMreC reveals a conserved two β‐barrel architecture and provides structural insights into its role within the bacterial elongasome. The abMreC–abPBP2 complex model identifies the molecular basis of MreC‐mediated PBP2 recognition, contributing to the regulation of peptidoglycan synthesis.

Expansion of the magnetic flux density field in toroidal harmonics

open access: yes, 2018
This study investigates the multipolar expansion of the magnetic flux density in toroidal harmonics, with the main purpose of identifying a valid procedure for the calculation of the multipole coefficients.

The role of miR‐335‐5p in the redifferentiation of BRAF p.V600E thyroid cancers

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
The BRAF p.V600E mutation promotes thyroid cancer dedifferentiation and radioiodine resistance. Using a network approach, we identified miR‐335‐5p as a key regulator of BRAF‐mutated thyroid tumors. Restoring miR‐335‐5p increased thyroid‐specific gene expression and iodine uptake in cells and organoids.

Numerical calculation of the flattened air gap magnetic flux density

open access: yes, 2016
In this paper, calculation of one of the parameters affecting the air gap magnetic flux density is described. It is the saturation effect which causes the flattening of the flux density distribution.

Statistical Analysis of Pulsar Flux Density Distribution

open access: yesThe Astrophysical Journal
This study presents a comprehensive analysis of the spectral properties of 886 pulsars across a wide frequency range from 20 MHz–343.5 GHz, including a total of 86 millisecond pulsars (MSPs).

Tumour–host interactions in Drosophila: mechanisms in the tumour micro‐ and macroenvironment

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This review examines how tumour–host crosstalk takes place at multiple levels of biological organisation, from local cell competition and immune crosstalk to organism‐wide metabolic and physiological collapse. Here, we integrate findings from Drosophila melanogaster studies that reveal conserved mechanisms through which tumours hijack host systems to ...

Flux density measurement for industrial-scale solar power towers

open access: yes, 2014
For separate acceptance tests of a solar power tower’s heliostat field and receiver, it is necessary to determine the solar flux density distribution over the whole absorber surface.

Anode Heat Flux Density of High-Current Arcs

open access: yes, 1971
The anode heat flux density of high-current arcs was determined by measuring the time from striking an arc to the onset of surface melting. Data were taken using argon and nitrogen with different metals, pressures, and anode surface temperatures.
