Energy Conversion in DC Excited Flux-Switching Machines [PDF]

open access: yesIEEE Transactions on Magnetics, 2014
This paper initiates a study on energy conversion in dc excited flux-switching machines (DCEFSMs) to reveal the torque production mechanism of this type of machines. The flux linkage components and self- and mutual inductances of a single-phase two-rotor-tooth DCEFSM are investigated.

Optimal Design of Gearless Flux-Switching Generator with Ferrite Permanent Magnets

open access: yesMathematics, 2020
In this paper, the optimal design of the Flux-Switching Generator with ferrite magnets based on a two-mode substituting load profile for a gearless wind generator is considered. A one-criterion Nelder-Mead method is used to optimize the generator design.

Flux-linkage characteristics of switched reluctance motor [PDF]

open access: yesProceedings of International Conference on Power Electronics, Drives and Energy Systems for Industrial Growth, 2002
An important requirement in the modelling of switched reluctance motors (SRM) is the knowledge of their flux-linkage characteristics. Idealisation of the flux-linkage characteristics will result in a model which cannot predict the performance of the machine with sufficient accuracy. It is necessary therefore to determine flux-linkage characteristics as

Torque analysis of permanent magnet flux switching machines with rotor step skewing [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
This paper investigates the torque characteristics of permanent magnet flux switching (PMFS) machines with rotor step skewing. The cogging torque, torque ripple and average output torque of a PMFS machine with a common stator and different rotor pole ...
