CoEnergy-based model for DC excited flux-switching motor
This paper investigates the applicability of the co-energy approach for a dc-excited flux-switching motor. Based on co-energy data extracted from a finite element model, a macromodel of the motor is created. This "fast" model allows to work with analytical functions instead of lookup tables.

Flux-Switching Motors for Automotive Applications
IEEE Transactions on Industry Applications, 2004This paper presents a new class of brushless motor as an alternative to the permanent magnet brushed motor used in the automotive industry. The new flux switching motor is a very simple motor to manufacture and coupled with a power electronic controller requiring only two power semiconductor switches it has the potential to be extremely low cost in ...

A new method to measure the switched reluctance motor's flux
Twentieth Annual IEEE Applied Power Electronics Conference and Exposition, 2005. APEC 2005., 2005This paper presents a method to measure flux linkage curves of a switched reluctance motor (SRM) that avoids the inherent errors introduced by iron and copper losses using the classic method of applying a voltage to the phase of the SRM and integrating it minus a resistive voltage drop to get the flux.

Flux-Weakening Capability of Flux-Switching Permanent Magnet Motor
2010 International Conference on E-Product E-Service and E-Entertainment, 2010A 12/10 flux-switching permanent magnet motor (FSPM) is described. Qualitative analysis of magnetic circuit indicates that a connection between stator segments is benefit to motor operation. From the basic principle of flux-weakening speed-extension operation, weaken magnetic factor and speed-extension multiple are calculated. The analysis results show

Axial flux segmental rotor flux-switching synchronous motor
2015 IEEE Energy Conversion Congress and Exposition (ECCE), 2015A novel three-phase, concentrated winding, axial flux, segmental rotor, flux-switching synchronous motor is presented. The proposed topology has rotor segments made of only iron laminations and operates with flux-switching principle. Compared to existing axial flux permanent magnet (AFPM) topologies, the proposed machine contains reduced amount of ...

A novel transverse-flux switched-flux PM linear motor
2013 International Conference on Electrical Machines and Systems (ICEMS), 2013A novel transverse-flux switched-flux linear motor (TFSFLM) is developed in this paper, which has high thrust force density and low cost due to combining the advantages of transverse-flux structure and switched-flux structure. Based on 3D FEM model, two main parameters of motor configuration are investigated to acquire a higher thrust force.
