A new tool for fast-flying PDF fits

open access: yesThe European Physical Journal C
We present Colibri, an open-source Python code that provides a general and flexible tool for PDF fits. The code is built so that users can implement their own PDF model, and use the built-in functionalities of Colibri for a fast computation of observables.

Resolving Heterogeneity of Targeted Lipid Nanoparticles Through Solution‐Based Biophysical Analyses

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
AF4‐UV‐DLS‐MALS‐SAXS resolves previously inaccessible targeted lipid nanoparticle (tLNP) subpopulations that differ in size, shape, and composition. Correlation of subpopulation‐resolved biophysical properties with in vivo RNA delivery reveals that targeted placental transfection is associated with distinct tLNP subpopulations rather than ensemble ...

Internal Temperature Distribution of the Carbide Fly Cutting Tool

open access: yesBulletin of JSME, 1967
The temperature distribution inside the carbide tool of a face-milling fly cutter was calculated from the previously obtained data of the tool chip interface temperature during the cutting period in machining a medium carbon steel. Effects of the cutting speed, tool material grade, use of water-miscible cutting oil, work width and cutter diameter on ...

Fabrication of Fibers With Complex Features Using Thermal Drawing of 3D‐Printed Preforms

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, EarlyView.
3D printing enables rapid fabrication of macroscale polymer preforms with complex geometries. Thermal drawing then scales these structures into long fibers while preserving micron‐scale cross‐sectional features. This workflow provides a fast, low‐cost route to functional fibers with tailored geometries and material combinations for catheter, robotic ...
