Flyback converter with hybrid clamp

This paper presents a flyback converter with a hybrid clamp, i.e., a combined passive RCD and active clamp, and a corresponding power management circuit that substantially optimizes the performance of the flyback converter in the entire line and load ranges.

Steady-state (DC) analysis of the flyback PWM DC-to-DC converter is performed for continuous conduction mode (CCM). The equations for the device stresses and the component values are derived. The circuit is designed and simulated with the aid of P-SPICE.

A new sepic-flyback converter

In this paper, a new sepic-flyback converter has been proposed, which is suitable for buck-boost topology. The proposed converter is superposition of sepic converter mode and flyback converter mode. Not only sepic mode output but also flyback mode output can be fully regulated by constant frequency PWM control.

Actively clamped bidirectional flyback converter

An actively clamped bidirectional flyback converter is proposed. The converter's operation is examined in detail. All switches in the converter have zero-voltage-switching characteristics. Active-clamping quad-flyback converter

An active-clamping quad-flyback converter is proposed to achieve zero voltage switching (ZVS) for all power switches. The secondary sides of quad-flyback converter are connected in parallel to share the load current. Thus, the transformer copper losses and the conduction losses on the output diodes are reduced.
