Analysis of bidirectional flyback converter

2015 International Conference on Computation of Power, Energy, Information and Communication (ICCPEIC), 2015
Power converters have great importance in this technically advanced world because many electronic devices use controlled source. Thus new converting topologies are developing to get better operation in terms of efficiency. This paper deals with a bridgeless flyback converter topology which have bidirectional power flow capability.

Asymmetrical PWM flyback converter

2000 IEEE 31st Annual Power Electronics Specialists Conference. Conference Proceedings (Cat. No.00CH37018), 2002
The asymmetrical PWM converter with the flyback output rectifier (asymmetrical PWM flyback converter) is proposed in this paper. The asymmetrical PWM flyback converter has the feature of zero-voltage switching (ZVS) in the active switches using resonance of the parasitic components.

Comparison of Glideback and Flyback Boosters

Journal of Spacecraft and Rockets, 2001
The aim of the present study is to investigate alternative reusable launch vehicle concepts and to provide a comparison of two different vehicle cone gurations. The e rst concept vehicle uses airbreathing engines to perform a powered booster e yback mission, whereas the second concept employs only aerodynamic lift to achieve booster e yback.

Analysis and design of the flyback transformer

IECON'03. 29th Annual Conference of the IEEE Industrial Electronics Society (IEEE Cat. No.03CH37468), 2004
A practical design method, which is based on the current shape, is presented to achieve the appropriate parameters of the flyback transformer. Through this method, a practical transformer is achieved, and its performance is verified by a step-up flyback converter, experimental waveforms and result are presented.

Power Losses of Flyback Transformers

IEEE Transactions on Consumer Electronics, 1981
Tht losses in the retrace time of third harmonic tuned flyback transformers are discussed. It is concluded that the distributed capacitance should not be too large.

A ZCS bidirectional flyback converter

2004 IEEE 35th Annual Power Electronics Specialists Conference (IEEE Cat. No.04CH37551), 2004
This paper addresses the design and analysis of a zero-current-switched (ZCS) bi-directional flyback dc/dc converter. The converter is based on extending a previously developed unidirectional ZCS flyback converter and replacing the output diode with a controlled switch, which acts as either a rectifier or a power control switch in the corresponding ...

Fuzzy based flyback converter

2014 International Conference on Advances in Electrical Engineering (ICAEE), 2014
DC-DC converters can be viewed as dc transformers that deliver a DC-DC voltage or current at a different level than the input source. The unregulated DC voltage is converted into regulated DC voltage at required level under varying load and input voltage condition.

Hermetically Sealed Flyback Transformer

IEEE Transactions on Broadcast and Television Receivers, 1972
Conventional high voltage supplies for color TV occupy much space, with both rectifier and flyback transformer enclosed in a metal cage. The solid insulation materials used allow the possibility of smoke emission owing to a small production error as voltages of up to 30KV at 15.75 KHz are generated.

A 400 W flyback converter

Conference Proceedings., Eleventh International Telecommunications Energy Conference, 2003
It is demonstrated that it is possible to manufacture a very compact high-power switch-mode power supply based on the flyback technique using standard components, with no sacrifice in performance and operation at 80 kHz. A superior flyback converter can be designed on the basis of the following criteria: (1) choosing a pulse ratio to optimize the ...
