An improved Flyback converter

2009 6th International Conference on Electrical Engineering/Electronics, Computer, Telecommunications and Information Technology, 2009
This paper presents a modified Flyback converter able to operate with higher efficiency and smaller size, overcoming most of the conventional flyback converter drawbacks, and also keeping its low cost and simplicity. In particular, the proposed converter allows the mosfet off voltage to be reduced and clamped to the input, thus recovering the ...

Design and implementation of flyback converters

2010 5th IEEE Conference on Industrial Electronics and Applications, 2010
In switch mode power supplies(SMPS), flyback converters are very popular because of, design simplicity, low cost, multiple isolated outputs, high output voltages and high efficiency. They are preferred especially for low power applications (150W).

Asymmetrical PWM flyback converter

2000 IEEE 31st Annual Power Electronics Specialists Conference. Conference Proceedings (Cat. No.00CH37018), 2002
The asymmetrical PWM converter with the flyback output rectifier (asymmetrical PWM flyback converter) is proposed in this paper. The asymmetrical PWM flyback converter has the feature of zero-voltage switching (ZVS) in the active switches using resonance of the parasitic components.

Snubber Design for Flyback Converter

2021 25th International Conference Electronics, 2021
This article presents some design guidelines for the snubber of flyback converters. When the MOSFET turns off, a high-voltage spike occurs on the drain pin because of a resonance between the leakage inductor (LLK) of the main transformer and output capacitor (COSS) of the MOSFET. Therefore, it is necessary to add a circuit to clamp the voltage.

GaN-Based Multiple Output Flyback Converter With Independently Controlled Outputs

IEEE transactions on industrial electronics (1982. Print), 2021
Several techniques are proposed in the literature to improve the cross-regulation performance of a multiple output flyback converter (MOFC). However, some drawbacks exist, first, inability to completely eliminate cross-regulation, second, reduction of ...

Fuzzy based flyback converter

2014 International Conference on Advances in Electrical Engineering (ICAEE), 2014
DC-DC converters can be viewed as dc transformers that deliver a DC-DC voltage or current at a different level than the input source. The unregulated DC voltage is converted into regulated DC voltage at required level under varying load and input voltage condition.

Extended Analysis of the Asymmetrical Half-Bridge Flyback Converter

IEEE transactions on power electronics, 2021
Isolated, zero-voltage-switching dc–dc converter topologies represent attractive solutions in the continuous run toward higher switching frequencies, allowing more compact power supplies.

COMPLEXITY IN AN INDUSTRIAL FLYBACK CONVERTER

Journal of Circuits, Systems and Computers, 1995
In this letter a functional model of an industrial flyback converter is introduced. Its accuracy within a defined condition range is shown. The complexity of the system is discussed by using experimental data. Moreover, it is shown that the complex dynamics of a flyback converter can be clusterized in some classes of well-known paradigms appearing in ...

Flyback converter with hybrid clamp

2018 IEEE Applied Power Electronics Conference and Exposition (APEC), 2018
This paper presents a flyback converter with a hybrid clamp, i.e., a combined passive RCD and active clamp, and a corresponding power management circuit that substantially optimizes the performance of the flyback converter in the entire line and load ranges.

Single-Stage Two-Flyback PFC Converter With Low Voltage Stress on a Switch

IEEE transactions on industrial electronics (1982. Print)
The proposed converter consists of two flyback ac–dc/dc–dc modules. Some power stored in a first coupled inductor is directly transferred to a load and the other is stored in two dc-link capacitors.
