An improved Flyback converter

2009 6th International Conference on Electrical Engineering/Electronics, Computer, Telecommunications and Information Technology, 2009
This paper presents a modified Flyback converter able to operate with higher efficiency and smaller size, overcoming most of the conventional flyback converter drawbacks, and also keeping its low cost and simplicity. In particular, the proposed converter allows the mosfet off voltage to be reduced and clamped to the input, thus recovering the ...

A Hybrid Boost-Flyback Converter Suitable For Power Factor Correction

2022 IEEE International Conference of Electron Devices Society Kolkata Chapter (EDKCON), 2022
The paper presents an isolated version of hybrid power converter consisting of a Boost and Flyback topology that is suitable for input power factor correction (PFC) of the single phase full bridge diode rectifier fed by non-linear loads.

Actively clamped bidirectional flyback converter

IEEE Transactions on Industrial Electronics, 2000
An actively clamped bidirectional flyback converter is proposed. The converter's operation is examined in detail. All switches in the converter have zero-voltage-switching characteristics. A low-frequency behavior model and small-signal transfer functions are derived. It is found that the flow of current is directly under the control of the duty cycle,

Stability Analysis of Constant Current-Controlled Primary-Side Regulation Flyback Converter

IEEE Journal of Emerging and Selected Topics in Power Electronics, 2022
In low power applications, primary-side regulation (PSR) flyback converter with discontinuous conduction modulation (DCM) mode is widely used to realize constant output current for its simple structure and low cost.

Snubber Design for Flyback Converter

2021 25th International Conference Electronics, 2021
This article presents some design guidelines for the snubber of flyback converters. When the MOSFET turns off, a high-voltage spike occurs on the drain pin because of a resonance between the leakage inductor (LLK) of the main transformer and output capacitor (COSS) of the MOSFET. Therefore, it is necessary to add a circuit to clamp the voltage.

GaN-Based Multiple Output Flyback Converter With Independently Controlled Outputs

IEEE transactions on industrial electronics (1982. Print), 2021
Several techniques are proposed in the literature to improve the cross-regulation performance of a multiple output flyback converter (MOFC). However, some drawbacks exist, first, inability to completely eliminate cross-regulation, second, reduction of ...

Performance evaluation of flyback converter

Proceedings Electrical Insulation Conference and Electrical Manufacturing Expo, 2005., 2006
Steady-state (DC) analysis of the flyback PWM DC-to-DC converter is performed for continuous conduction mode (CCM). The equations for the device stresses and the component values are derived. The circuit is designed and simulated with the aid of P-SPICE.

A new sepic-flyback converter

30th Annual Conference of IEEE Industrial Electronics Society, 2004. IECON 2004, 2005
In this paper, a new sepic-flyback converter has been proposed, which is suitable for buck-boost topology. The proposed converter is superposition of sepic converter mode and flyback converter mode. Not only sepic mode output but also flyback mode output can be fully regulated by constant frequency PWM control.

Single-Stage Two-Flyback PFC Converter With Low Voltage Stress on a Switch

IEEE transactions on industrial electronics (1982. Print)
The proposed converter consists of two flyback ac–dc/dc–dc modules. Some power stored in a first coupled inductor is directly transferred to a load and the other is stored in two dc-link capacitors.
