Snubber Design for Flyback Converter

2021 25th International Conference Electronics, 2021
This article presents some design guidelines for the snubber of flyback converters. When the MOSFET turns off, a high-voltage spike occurs on the drain pin because of a resonance between the leakage inductor (LLK) of the main transformer and output capacitor (COSS) of the MOSFET. Therefore, it is necessary to add a circuit to clamp the voltage.

Fuzzy based flyback converter

2014 International Conference on Advances in Electrical Engineering (ICAEE), 2014
DC-DC converters can be viewed as dc transformers that deliver a DC-DC voltage or current at a different level than the input source. The unregulated DC voltage is converted into regulated DC voltage at required level under varying load and input voltage condition.

COMPLEXITY IN AN INDUSTRIAL FLYBACK CONVERTER

Journal of Circuits, Systems and Computers, 1995
In this letter a functional model of an industrial flyback converter is introduced. Its accuracy within a defined condition range is shown. The complexity of the system is discussed by using experimental data. Moreover, it is shown that the complex dynamics of a flyback converter can be clusterized in some classes of well-known paradigms appearing in ...

Flyback converter with hybrid clamp

2018 IEEE Applied Power Electronics Conference and Exposition (APEC), 2018
This paper presents a flyback converter with a hybrid clamp, i.e., a combined passive RCD and active clamp, and a corresponding power management circuit that substantially optimizes the performance of the flyback converter in the entire line and load ranges.

Performance evaluation of flyback converter

Proceedings Electrical Insulation Conference and Electrical Manufacturing Expo, 2005., 2006
Steady-state (DC) analysis of the flyback PWM DC-to-DC converter is performed for continuous conduction mode (CCM). The equations for the device stresses and the component values are derived. The circuit is designed and simulated with the aid of P-SPICE.

A new sepic-flyback converter

30th Annual Conference of IEEE Industrial Electronics Society, 2004. IECON 2004, 2005
In this paper, a new sepic-flyback converter has been proposed, which is suitable for buck-boost topology. The proposed converter is superposition of sepic converter mode and flyback converter mode. Not only sepic mode output but also flyback mode output can be fully regulated by constant frequency PWM control.

Actively clamped bidirectional flyback converter

IEEE Transactions on Industrial Electronics, 2000
An actively clamped bidirectional flyback converter is proposed. The converter's operation is examined in detail. All switches in the converter have zero-voltage-switching characteristics. A low-frequency behavior model and small-signal transfer functions are derived. It is found that the flow of current is directly under the control of the duty cycle,

Non-Isolated Interleaved Flyback Converter

2018 IEEE Innovative Smart Grid Technologies - Asia (ISGT Asia), 2018
There is an ever-increasing demand for viable, clean, energy sources. The main obstacle in using solar energy sources is that the output voltage obtained is too low for practical use. The obtained output voltage should be stepped up considerably in connection with the utility mains.

Resonant flyback converter

IECON '98. Proceedings of the 24th Annual Conference of the IEEE Industrial Electronics Society (Cat. No.98CH36200), 2002
The paper discusses a new power converter circuit, the symmetrical resonant flyback power converter. Its fundamental mathematical analysis is presented, together with simulation results. The switches in the power converter operate with ZCS (zero current switching) at turn-on and with ZVS (zero voltage switching) at turn-off.

Double-flyback DC-DC converter

Proceedings of PESC '95 - Power Electronics Specialist Conference, 2002
Circuit operation is analyzed for the ideal and real circuit of a DC-DC power convertor. The voltage ratio is deduced for each operating mode as a function of load current, duty factor and component values. Boundary conditions between different operating modes are obtained. Component ratings are summarized, to facilitate circuit design. >
