NiFe‐NO3 Layered Double Hydroxide as a Novel Anode for Sodium Ion Batteries

open access: yesBatteries &Supercaps, Volume 8, Issue 3, March 2025.
This study demonstrates, for the first time, the effectiveness of using LDH as an anodic material in SIB. The material is stable and show high specific capacity, the reaction mechanism has been thoroughly investigated and comprehensively described and involves a phase change reaction followed by sodium intercalation.

Enhancement of the Plant‐Accessible Phosphate Fraction in Sewage Sludge Ashes by Na+ or K+ Addition Prior to Combustion

open access: yesChemSusChem, Volume 18, Issue 6, March 15, 2025.
The addition of Na2CO3 or K2CO3 to sewage sludge prior to combustion leads to the production of ashes containing phosphate in the form of buchwaldite‐like phases (Ca(Na/K)PO4). Compared to conventional sewage sludge mono‐ashes, such Na‐ or K‐ashes show greatly increased P‐solubilities and proved to be potent P‐fertiliser materials in greenhouse ...

Stage-dependent Increase in Expression of miR-155 and Ki-67 and Number of Tumour-associated Inflammatory Cells in Folliculotropic Mycosis Fungoides

open access: yesActa Dermato-Venereologica, 2020
Recent studies suggest that folliculotropic mycosis fungoides (FMF), the most common variant of mycosis fungoides (MF), presents with 2 distinct clinicopathological stages: early indolent stage and more aggressive advanced/tumour stage.

Measurement-only topological quantum computation without forced measurements

open access: yes, 2016
We investigate the measurement-only topological quantum computation (MOTQC) approach proposed by Bonderson et al. [Phys. Rev. Lett. 101, 010501 (2008)] where the braiding operation is shown to be equivalent to a series of topological charge "forced ...

The Energy Dilemma: Does Energy Security Risk and Renewable Energy Affect Fossil Material Footprint? Policy Framework for Securing SDGs

open access: yesGeological Journal, EarlyView.
Energy security risk has a positive impact on material footprint. Renewable energy consumption reduces material footprint. ABSTRACT Following a high economic growth path, the group of G7 economies is found to be utilising more and more material, causing a material footprint (MF), which in turn contributes to pollution.
