Determination of CTOD C in Fibre Metal Laminates by ASTM and Schwalbe Methods [PDF]
Fibre Metal Laminates (FMLs) have arisen as a demand of the aeronautical industry to use thin sheets with high resistance to fatigue crack growth, high damage tolerance, corrosion resistance and high specific strength.

Study of Low-Velocity Impact Behavior of Hybrid Fiber-Reinforced Metal Laminates. [PDF]
In this paper, the low-velocity impact behavior and damage modes of carbon/glass-hybrid fiber-reinforced magnesium alloy laminates (FMLs-H) and pure carbon-fiber-reinforced magnesium alloy laminates (FMLs-C) are investigated using experimental ...

Tensile And Impact Properties Of Cost-Effective Hybrid Fiber Metal Laminate Sandwich Structures [PDF]
Hybrid composite materials, which combine two or more types of fiber in a single matrix, have currently drawn the interest of researchers. This research investigates the tensile and impact properties of hybrid kenaf/glass reinforced metal laminates (FMLs)

Abstract Precast reinforced concrete segmental linings are frequently used in modern tunneling. In these linings, the longitudinal joints typically have a reduced contact cross‐section and thus often govern the design, particularly in tunnels under high hydrostatic pressure or crossing squeezing or swelling ground with correspondingly high ...

Fracture toughness of unidirectional fiber-metal laminates: crack orientation effect. [PDF]
Fiber-metal laminates (FMLs) are structural composites developed for aeronautical applications. The application of FMLs to structures demands a deep knowledge of a wide set of properties, including fracture toughness.

Benzalkonium Chloride in Eye Drops Causing Allergic Contact Dermatitis: A Case Series
ABSTRACT We present three patients who developed allergic contact dermatitis (ACD) from benzalkonium chloride (BAK) in ophthalmic drops. BAK is a preservative commonly found in ophthalmic formulations and there is a rising trend of ACD to this allergen. The irritant and sensitising properties of BAK on the ocular mucosa will be discussed.
