Consumer Cultural Renaissance: Conceptualisation, Scale Development, and Validation

open access: yesPsychology &Marketing, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT As incessant globalisation leads to the pervasive erosion of traditional Asian culture by Western consumerism, a recent phenomenon has emerged that allures Asian consumers to reconnect with their traditional culture via consumption. We postulate that this behaviour is rooted in a self‐identity, consumer cultural renaissance (CCR), that has not

Progressive Damage and Impact Behavior of Carbon Fiber/Epoxy‐Aluminum 2024‐T3 CARALL Composites: Experimental Investigation and Hybrid Finite Element Modeling Approach

open access: yesPolymer Composites, EarlyView.
Experimental evaluation and hybrid FE modeling of drop‐weight impact damage behavior in 2/1 CARALL panels: A comparison of experimental and numerical results. ABSTRACT The present work investigates the dynamic response of Carbon Fiber Reinforced Epoxy Reinforced Aluminum 2024‐T3 FML with a 2/1 stacking arrangement subjected to low velocity impacts. Low

Experimental and theoretical investigation of longitudinal tunnel lining joints with confining reinforcement

open access: yesStructural Concrete, EarlyView.
Abstract Precast reinforced concrete segmental linings are frequently used in modern tunneling. In these linings, the longitudinal joints typically have a reduced contact cross‐section and thus often govern the design, particularly in tunnels under high hydrostatic pressure or crossing squeezing or swelling ground with correspondingly high ...

Benzalkonium Chloride in Eye Drops Causing Allergic Contact Dermatitis: A Case Series

open access: yesAustralasian Journal of Dermatology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT We present three patients who developed allergic contact dermatitis (ACD) from benzalkonium chloride (BAK) in ophthalmic drops. BAK is a preservative commonly found in ophthalmic formulations and there is a rising trend of ACD to this allergen. The irritant and sensitising properties of BAK on the ocular mucosa will be discussed.

Artificial Intelligence for Language Learning: A Systematic Review of its Design, Theoretical Foundations, Implementation, and Impact

open access: yesInternational Journal of Applied Linguistics, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Although the use of AI technologies (e.g., chatbots and automated writing evaluations (AWE)) has gained considerable attention in language learning fields in recent years, how AI technologies have been designed and implemented in language learning education, as well as their effectiveness, is understudied.

Estimating the Stature of an Ancient North Andean Population From Articular Breadths and Diaphyseal Diameters: An Extension of Anzellini and Toyne (2020) Aproximando la Estatura de Poblaciones Norandinas Antiguas Utilizando Medidas de lo Ancho de Articulaciones y Los Diámetros de la Diáfisis: Una Extension de Anzellini y Toyne (2020)

open access: yesAmerican Journal of Biological Anthropology, Volume 190, Issue 3, July 2026.
ABSTRACT Stature estimation of skeletal remains is mostly dependent on the lengths of long bones, but these are often unavailable in fragmented or commingled assemblages. To overcome this obstacle, we present an extension of the unisex stature estimation models for high‐altitude Andean populations presented by Anzellini and Toyne (2020) using femoral ...

Tensile failure of fibre-metal-laminates made of titanium and carbon-fibre/epoxy laminates

open access: yesMaterials & Design, 2019
The tensile properties of the lightweight titanium-based carbon-fibre/epoxy laminates (TI-CF FMLs) were investigated under quasi-static loading. A comprehensive experimental study was conducted for eleven different types of the TI-CF FMLs (considering ...

Caveats on Using Firth's Penalization in the Model‐Based Regression Standardization for Rare Diseases

open access: yesStatistics in Medicine, Volume 45, Issue 15-17, July 2026.
ABSTRACT Model‐based regression standardization, also known as the parametric g‐formula, is widely used to estimate marginal effect measures. However, in rare disease settings, the small number of observed events relative to the number of covariates can lead to (quasi‐)complete separation, resulting in non‐convergent estimates in the regression models.
