Pore- and Core-Scale Insights of Nanoparticle-Stabilized Foam for CO2-Enhanced Oil Recovery
Nanoparticles have gained attention for increasing the stability of surfactant-based foams during CO2 foam-enhanced oil recovery (EOR) and CO2 storage. However, the behavior and displacement mechanisms of hybrid nanoparticle–surfactant foam formulations ...

Principles and applications of interfacial rheology in (pre)formulation development of pharmaceutical preparations [PDF]
Rheology is a science that deals with the movement and deformation of materials, while interfacial rheology is a branch of rheology that focuses on the study of the mechanical properties of fluid interfaces, such as liquid-liquid and liquid-gas ...

Spacetime is composed of a fluctuating arrangement of bubbles or loops called spacetime foam, or quantum foam. We use the holographic principle to deduce its structure, and show that the result is consistent with gedanken experiments involving spacetime measurements.

We study a certain class of embedded [Formula: see text]-foams that arise from gluing disks into ribbon torus knots along nonintersecting torus meridians. We exhibit several equivalent diagrammatic formalisms for these objects and identify several of their invariants, including a unique prime factorization.

Identification and quantification of cell gas evolution in rigid polyurethane foams by novel GCMS methodology [PDF]
Producción CientíficaThis paper presents a new methodology based on gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (GCMS) in order to separate and quantify the gases presented inside the cells of rigid polyurethane (RPU) foams.

Foaming Volume and Foam Stability. [PDF]
A method of measuring foaming volume is described and investigated to establish the critical factors in its operation. Data on foaming volumes and foam stabilities are given for a series of hydrocarbons and for a range of concentrations of aqueous ethylene-glycol solutions.

Klein foams are analogues of Riemann and Klein surfaces with one-dimensional singularities. We prove that the field of dianalytic functions on a Klein foam $ $ coincides with the field of dianalytic functions on a Klein surface $K_ $. We construct the moduli space of Klein foams and we prove that the set of classes of topologically equivalent Klein ...

A lower bound for the area of Plateau foams [PDF]
Real foams can be viewed as geometrically well-organized dispersions of more or less spherical bubbles in a liquid. When the foam is so drained that the liquid content significantly decreases, the bubbles become polyhedral-like and the foam can be viewed

NUMERICAL STUDIES OF INTERNAL FLOW IN DIFFERENT TYPES OF FILTERS
The quality of ambient air attracts considerable, widespread interest. Over the last decades, air purification has become an integral part of HVAC systems, process engineering, automotive and respiratory protection.
