The Application of Hydrochar Composite Briquettes for Sustainable Slag Foaming in the Electric Arc Furnace Process

open access: yessteel research international, EarlyView.
Hydrochar‐mill‐scale briquettes with varying C/O molar ratios (0.07–0.90) have been tested at 1650 °C to evaluate their slag foaming performance for electric arc furnace application. All seven briquette recipes developed succeed in promoting slag foaming.

Synthesis of functionalized polyolefins in a new continuous bench‐scale reactor apparatus

open access: yesAIChE Journal, Volume 72, Issue 9, September 2026.
Abstract In‐reactor functionalized polyolefins (FPOs), produced by molecular catalysts, are a new class of polymer materials with applications ranging from high performance adhesives to bitumen compatibilization. In this work, we disclose a procedure for the synthesis of FPOs in a new Continuous Bench‐scale Reactor Apparatus (COBRA).

Rasterized Infrared Curing of Aromatic Polyester Vitrimers for Additive Manufacturing and Thin Films Enabled by Dynamic Bond Exchange

open access: yesMacromolecular Materials and Engineering, Volume 311, Issue 9, September 2026.
A novel advancing‐front rasterized infrared curing method was developed for an Aromatic Thermosetting Copolyester (ATSP) vitrimer, employing feedback‐controlled thermal pulses to drive the progressive evolution of a dynamic covalent network. Thermogravimetric analyses established a predictable relationship between tunable cure profiles and cure ...

Bitumen Foaming Optimisation Process on the Basis of Rheological Properties

open access: yesMaterials, 2018
This article discusses the results of bitumen foam properties optimisation with respect to three factors: air pressure, bitumen temperature and amount of water. The test materials were unmodified bitumen 50/70 and bitumen 50/70 modified with 2.5% synthetic wax. The experiment was designed according to the 3(3−1) fractional factorial design.
