Focal mechanism and source depth of earthquakes from body- and surface-wave data
Bulletin of The Seismological Society of America (BSSA), 1971The determination of focal depth and other source parameters by the use of first-motion data and surface-wave spectra is investigated. It is shown that the spectral ratio of Love to Rayleigh waves (L/R) is sensitive to all source parameters.

Two focal-mechanism solutions for earthquakes from Iceland and Svalbard
Tectonophysics, 1977Abstract Strike-slip solutions have been obtained and are presented here for the focal mechanisms of one earthquake from Iceland and one from Svalbard, on 13 and 18 January 1976, respectively. A fault plane is suggested for the Iceland earthquake.

Focal mechanism solutions for Albanian earthquakes for the years 1964–1988
Tectonophysics, 1994Abstract Focal mechanism solutions for 175 Albanian earthquakes of Albania for the years 1964–1988 were obtained by using an interactive computer technique. The results obtained are elaborated upon by applying Fisherian statistical analysis to obtain parameters for the mean stress direction in five zones.

Modern tectonic stress field in the Chinese mainland inverted from focal mechanism solutions
Acta Seismologica Sinica, 1999The inversion of modern tectonic stress field in China is made by regions on the basis of focal mechanism data in the period of 1920–1996. Results of the inversion show that the maximum principal compressive stress σ1 axis strikes nearly north-south direction in the Tibet Plateau and western China, east-west direction in North China.
