Network Pharmacology Combined With Clinical Retrospective Analysis to Investigate the Potential Mechanisms and Clinical Significance of Folate in Treating Spinal Cord Injury

open access: yesPharmacology Research &Perspectives, Volume 14, Issue 2, April 2026.
ABSTRACT Folate is an indispensable nutrient involved in key biological processes, including enzymatic reactions, DNA replication, metabolic regulation, and methylation. Studies indicate that folate promotes neuronal regeneration and repair in patients with spinal cord injury (SCI); however, its precise mechanisms remain unclear.

Integration of epigenetics into ecotoxicology: insights and fundamental research needs

open access: yesBiological Reviews, Volume 101, Issue 2, Page 826-847, April 2026.
ABSTRACT Epigenetics refers to heritable changes in genome function that occur without direct alterations to the DNA sequence. A multitude of environmental contaminants can influence the epigenetic marks of a genome. Changes of epigenetic marks including DNA methylation, histone modifications, and non‐coding RNAs can induce alterations at the gene ...

Preconception Perceptions, Knowledge and Behaviours of Women With Gestational Diabetes Mellitus: A Qualitative Study

open access: yesHealth Expectations, Volume 29, Issue 2, April 2026.
ABSTRACT Background Gestational diabetes mellitus (GDM) is one of the most common pregnancy complications. While considerable attention has been paid to the management of GDM during pregnancy, women's perceptions of GDM, knowledge of associated risk factors and health behaviours before and between pregnancies are less well understood, despite their ...

Maternal Mushroom Consumption During Pregnancy Is Associated With Decreased Risk of Peer Problems and Decreased Risk of Low Prosocial Behavior in 5‐Year‐Olds

open access: yesJournal of Human Nutrition and Dietetics, Volume 39, Issue 2, April 2026.
ABSTRACT Background Edible mushrooms have long been recognized for their nutritional value. In the Kyushu Okinawa Maternal and Child Health Study, a prebirth cohort study, we examined the association between maternal mushroom intake during pregnancy and risk of childhood behavioral problems in Japanese 5‐year‐olds.

Folate receptor alpha (FRα) expression in tubo‐ovarian and endometrial tumors: a study of 923 cases

open access: yesThe Journal of Pathology: Clinical Research, Volume 12, Issue 2, March 2026.
Abstract Folate receptor alpha (FRα) is a promising therapeutic target due to its high expression in several tumor types and its rare expression in healthy tissue. Recently, the antibody‐drug conjugate mirvetuximab soravtansine has been approved for treatment of advanced platinum‐resistant high‐grade serous carcinoma (HGSC).

A Single‐Metal‐Doped Nanoplatform for Ferroptosis‐Driven cGAS‐STING Pathway Activation in Hepatocellular Carcinoma Immunotherapy

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, Volume 36, Issue 18, 2 March 2026.
The cGAS‐STING pathway boosts HCC antitumor immunity but lacks specific activation. Nanoplatform ZMRPF induces HCC ferroptosis via lipid ROS, releasing mtDNA. It synergizes with ZMRPF‐released Mn2⁺ to activate cGAS‐STING, amplifies antigen‐presenting cell activity, reverses HCC immunosuppression, and enables robust systemic antitumor immunity ...

PARPi Combining Nanoparticle LIN28B siRNA for the Management of Malignant Ascites

open access: yesAdvanced Science, Volume 13, Issue 16, 18 March 2026.
This study demonstrates that co‐inhibition of LIN28B and PARP using siLin28b/DSSP@lip‐PEG‐FA nanoparticles in combination with the PARP inhibitor BMN673 effectively suppresses the accumulation of malignant ascites associated with advanced cancers.
