Effects of foliar application of boron on mango
Scientia Horticulturae, 1976Abstract Foliar application of boric acid, at varying concentrations, to mango cultivar ‘Langra’ significantly influenced the growth, flowering, fruiting and fruit quality. Highest values for most of the characteristics were obtained in the treatment where 0.8% boric acid was used.

Soil and Foliar Application of Phosphorus on Rice
Madras Agricultural Journal, 1977The affect of soil and foliar application of phosphorus at four levels, viz. 20. 40. 6. and 80 kg/ha on Co. 34 rice was studied. The NAR was more at vegetative and tillering stages with higher levels of phosphorus as foliar application. The RGR increased at early stages and thereafter decreased gradually. Medium levels of phosphorus had more influ ence

Repeated, Foliar Applications of Herbicides on Johnsongrass
Weed Science, 1969The responses of established, spaced-planted strains of johnsongrass (Sorghum halepense (L.) Pers.) to repeated, foliar applications of herbicides were studied under irrigated desert conditions. Monosodium methanearsonate (MSMA) and disodium methanearsonate (DSMA) were the most effective herbicides.

Foliar Insecticide Applications on Soybeans, 1980
Insecticide and Acaricide Tests, 1981Abstract Fifty-four plots were located 2 miles west of Macon, OH. Plots measured 50 ft by 4 rows (30-in centers) and were bordered by 2 rows. Experimental design was a randomized complete block, 3 blocks each with 18 treatments. Treatments were applied on Aug 20 with a 4-row CO2-charged bicycle sprayer (liquid output 74.9 ml/sec at 40 ...

Foliar application of fungicides in soybean

Foliar application and uptake of selenium extracted from ryegrass
Journal of Plant Nutrition, 1992Abstract In a pot experiment a water extract from ryegrass (Lolium perenne) containing 21 mg/L selenium (Se) was sprayed on ryegrass, and the uptake of Se was compared with the uptake of Se applied as sodium selenite. The amount of Se recovered from the plants (0 to 53 mg/kg) was a linear function of the amount of Se applied (0 to 130 g/ha), both for ...

Foliar application of rare earth elements to maize and mungbean
Australian Journal of Experimental Agriculture, 1999The foliar application of rare earth elements to plants has been reported to increase yields of a range of crops particularly when soils contain low levels of rare earth elements. A rare earth element fertiliser obtained from China was chemically analysed and found to contain 45.3% nitrate plus 8.7% lanthanum and 12.4% cerium; lanthanum and cerium ...
