This study investigates the photosensitizing potential of Passiflora cincinnata in Antimicrobial Photodynamic Therapy (aPDT) against skin infection caused by Methicillin‐resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) in a senescent murine model. The P. cincinnata exhibits antimicrobial activity, with reduced bacterial load, lower leukocyte infiltration, and ...

Homotopy invariance of cohomology and signature of a riemannian foliation
We prove that any smooth foliation that admits a Riemannian foliation structure has a well-defined basic signature, and this geometrically defined invariant is actually a foliated homotopy invariant.

New insight into the Lectionary of Leipzig
The paper presents new insight into the Lectionary of Leipzig (LL), a Cyrillic manuscript most probably dating from between 1560 and 1580. This insight primarily concern the results of an analysis of watermarks, which is particularly important as the ...

On holomorphic one-forms transverse to closed hypersurfaces
In this note we announce some achievements in the study of holomorphic distributions admitting transverse closed real hypersurfaces. We consider a domain with smooth boundary in the complex affine space of dimension two or greater. Assume that the domain

The unrolling of the peltate leaves in Syngonium podophyllum is analyzed and quantified (left‐hand side to center). These measurements serve to verify a mathematical model for leaf unrolling based on the model used in Schmidt (2007). An additional formula for obtaining a layer mismatch from a prescribed radius is derived.

Positively curved Killing foliations via deformations
We show that a compact manifold admitting a Killing foliation with positive transverse curvature fibers over finite quotients of spheres or weighted complex projective spaces, provided that the singular foliation defined by the closures of the leaves has

Beyond Order: Perspectives on Leveraging Machine Learning for Disordered Materials
This article explores how machine learning (ML) revolutionizes the study and design of disordered materials by uncovering hidden patterns, predicting properties, and optimizing multiscale structures. It highlights key advancements, including generative models, graph neural networks, and hybrid ML‐physics methods, addressing challenges like data ...

Comparing Riemannian foliations with transversally symmetric foliations
In this paper Riemannian foliations are compared with transversally homogeneous foliations, where the model transverse structure is of the type of an irreducible compact symmetric space G/K. The datum needed for this comparison is a connection in the normal bundle, having similar properties as the canonical connection in the case of a transversally ...
