A prospective pilot investigation of 14 women subjected to sterilization via laparoscopy, using bipolar electrocoagulation of the Fallopian tubes, did not reveal any significant change in the levels of follicular stimulating hormone (FSH), luteinizing hormone (LH) or estradiol either before or 3 months after the operation.

Abstract To examine the manner in which the FSH surge of one oestrous cycle recruits follicles for ovulation in the subsequent cycle, porcine follicular fluid (PFF) was used to alter the pattern of endogenous FSH secretion during the periovulatory period.

Ovarian follicular response to different hormonal stimulation treatments in Canindé goats
Animal Reproduction Science, 2011The objective of the present study was to evaluate the effect of different hormonal stimulation treatments on the antral follicular population of naturalized Canindé goats. Adult goats (n=17) having estrous cycles at regular intervals were treated with intra-vaginal sponges containing 60 mg medroxyprogesterone acetate for 11 days, combined with an ...

A population model for the follicular growth in women treated with follicle stimulating hormone
Clinical Pharmacology & Therapeutics, 1997To develop a pharmacodynamic model that can describe the time course of follicular growth and to investigate the influence, if any, of covariates on the parameters of the model.A population pharmacodynamic analysis was performed on total follicular volume data obtained after in vitro fertilisation and embryo transfer with urinary or recombinant human ...

Effect of follicular aspiration on hormonal parameters in patients undergoing ovarian stimulation
Human Reproduction, 1991The effect of follicular aspiration and oocyte retrieval on hormonal parameters was examined in women undergoing ovarian stimulation for in-vitro fertilization (IVF) compared to induced ovulation in women undergoing ovarian stimulation for intrauterine insemination (IUI).

Twelve normally menstruating women were stimulated with (1) human menopausal gonadotropins (hMG) containing follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH) and luteinizing hormone (LH) and (2) FSH only to induce growth of multiple follicles for oocyte retrieval.

We investigated the effects of body fat content on mouse fecundity, ovarian hormone release, and their response to follicle stimulation hormone (FSH). 4 types of females were produced: lean (group 1), normal (group 2), slightly fat (group 3), and significantly fat (group 4).

Purpose: To examine the ability of testicular histopathology in Non-obstructive azoospermia (NOA) in predicting sperm retrieval rate (SR), sperm quality and assisted reproductive technology success. Methods: A retrospective study recruited clinically diagnosed NOA patients between 2007 and 2015. Testicular biopsy and conventional sperm extraction (TESE)

Multiple follicular growth under pulsatile gonadotrophin releasing hormone stimulation
Human Reproduction, 1993Pulsatile gonadotrophin releasing hormone (GnRH) treatment in patients with secondary hypothalamic amenorrhoea results in higher multiple pregnancy rates than expected. This multiple pregnancy rate is significantly higher when conception occurs during the first treatment cycle and when higher pulse doses are used.

[Ultrasonic diagnosis of hormonal stimulation follicular maturation and ovulation].
Jugoslavenska ginekologija i opstetricija, 1985The development of ovarian follicles was observed by ultrasound in 10 patients with the normal menstrual cycle and 10 patients with hormonally stimulated ovulation. In 2 of the patients with the normal cycle the diameter of the follicles was less than 2 cm. They had no ovulation.
