Species Differentiation Of Fish Samples By Restriction Fragment Length Polymorphism Analysis Of Cytochrome B Gene [PDF]

open access: yes, 2009
Metode pengukuran polimorfisme fragmen hasil pemotongan produkreaksi polimorfik berantai oleh enzim restriksi spesifik (polymerase chainreaction-restriction fragment length polymorphism, RFLP-PCR) telah digunakanuntuk membedakan beberapa jenis ikan ...

Quantitative proteomic analysis reveals different characteristics of bladder cancer cells after exposure to bisphenol A

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Bisphenol A (BPA), a common chemical in plastics, exerts dual effects on bladder cancer cells: low doses promote growth and migration, while high doses suppress growth and migration. Multi‐omics and bioinformatics reveal BPA acts via MAPK and inflammatory pathways.

High-altitude environments enhance the ability of Eothenomys miletus to regulate body mass during food limitation, with a focus on gut microorganisms and physiological markers

open access: yesFrontiers in Microbiology
Animals’ digestion, energy metabolism, and immunity are significantly influenced by interactions between the gut microbiota and the intestinal environment of the host.

CHANGES IN THE U.S. DEMAND FOR SUGAR AND IMPLICATIONS FOR IMPORT POLICIES [PDF]

open access: yes
The thrust of this paper is to identify and measure structural changes in the U.S. demand for sugar and to derive subsequent implications for import restriction policies.

Iron homeostasis disruption and lipid peroxidation in skeletal muscle during short‐term immobilization

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
14‐day casting‐induced immobilization reduced gastrocnemius muscle mass and increased non‐heme iron and ferritin heavy chain levels. Despite iron accumulation, transferrin receptor 1 and iron regulatory protein 2 were paradoxically upregulated. Lipid peroxidation was elevated without compensatory antioxidant responses.

Production Incentives from Static Decoupling: Entry, Exit and Use Exclusion Restrictions [PDF]

open access: yes
The use of agricultural decoupled support has increased as World Trade Organization (WTO) member nations implement less trade distortive policies. However, the true production effects of these policies are still unclear.

„Avoidant/restrictive food intake disorder“

open access: yesMonatsschrift Kinderheilkunde

Evolutionarily divergent DUF4465 domains have a common vitamin B12‐binding function

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
We show that DUF4465 family proteins, widespread across bacteria from gut microbiomes, hydrothermal vents, and soil, share a common vitamin B12‐binding function. These augmented β‐jellyroll proteins bind vitamin B12 via extended loops. Our findings establish sequence‐diverse DUF4465 proteins as a widespread class of B12‐binding proteins, highlighting ...

Molecular dynamics simulations of positively selected codons in FcγRI reveal novel biochemical binding properties

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Evolutionary analysis across 32 placental mammals identified positive selection at residues H148 and W149 in the immune receptor FcγR1. Ancestral reconstruction combined with molecular dynamics simulations reveals how these mutations may influence receptor structure and dynamics, providing insight into the evolution of antibody recognition and immune ...

A prospect of moving towards free milk quota market in Ireland – will milk quota movement follow efficiency? [PDF]

open access: yes
Quota trade in Ireland is ‘ring fenced’ to milk processors where farmers are not allowed to trade milk quota outside their designated milk processor. This ensures milk production staying within a region but has implications for the efficiency of milk ...
