Pathological Mechanism‐Inspired Biomimetic Nano‐Senotherapy for Reversing Experimental Atherosclerosis in ApoE−/− Mice

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
The biomimetic self‐assembly nanomedicine reversing atherosclerosis via senotherapy strategy. ABSTRACT The greatest challenge in atherosclerosis (AS) management lies in achieving lesion reversal, not merely slowing progression. Senescent cell accumulation—driven by continuous generation and apoptotic resistance—perpetuates plaque pathology and ...

Food for Work Program and its Implications on Food Security: A Critical Review with a Practical Example from the Amhara Region, Ethiopia

open access: yesJournal of Agriculture and Rural Development in the Tropics and Subtropics, 2006
A systematic evaluation of food-for-work (FFW) programs in Ethiopia is seriously lacking. Most of the few available reports indicate that these programs have reached very few achievements in terms of food security and reduction of poverty at large.

Food Security and Artisanal Fisheries: Critical Analysis of Initiatives in Latin America

open access: yesDesenvolvimento e Meio Ambiente, 2014
The importance of food security is frequently mentioned in small-scale fisheries policies, but it is seldom articulated as an explicit objective. We propose to approach fisheries as a food system, and by doing so, we seek to contribute to governance ...

A Periosteum‐Inspired Janus Piezoelectric Scaffold Using Bioenergetic‐Driven H‐Type Vascularization for Diabetic Bone Regeneration

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A periosteum‐inspired Janus piezoelectric scaffold converts micromechanical forces into electrical signals and synergizes with controlled resveratrol release. This dual action reprograms endothelial metabolism, drives H‑type vessel formation, and restores bone–vessel coupling in diabetic bone defects.

Microblasting Wound Dressings Mechanically Disrupt Polymicrobial Biofilms to Enhance Healing in Treatment‐Resistant Wounds

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Treatment‐resistant wounds caused by polymicrobial biofilms are refractory to conventional therapies due to the dense extracellular matrices. We developed μBLAST, a microblasting wound dressing that combines MnO2‐doped biosilica and a H2O2‐releasing mesh to generate localized oxygen microbubbles that mechanically disrupt biofilms.

Circulating Amino Acid Network Remodeling Reveals Systemic Metabolic Reprogramming Predictive of Colorectal Cancer Recurrence and Metastasis

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Blood‐based amino acid patterns measured by 19F NMR reveal hidden metabolic changes in colorectal cancer. By analyzing how these amino acids interact as a network, machine learning models identify patients at higher risk of recurrence and metastasis.
