Stretchable, Tough, and Luminescent Perovskite Molecular Ferroelectric Composite: Empowering Reliable Self‐Powered Motion Sensing in High Humidity and Subzero Temperatures

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A flexible molecular ferroelectric composite is fabricated via in situ growth of luminescent DMAA‐MnCl3 ferroelectric crystals within a SEBS/SIS double‐polymer matrix. It delivers 7.54 MPa tensile strength, over 1200% tensile strain, durable piezoelectric motion sensing, and excellent harsh‐environment stability for all‐weather wearable biomechanical ...

From Folding Mechanics to Robotic Function: A Unified Modeling Framework for Compliant Origami

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A geometry‐consistent DDG framework captures compliant origami deformation from rigid‐like folding to soft panel bending. By tuning crease and panel stiffness, bistable snap‐through responses transform into smooth monostable deformation, enabling programmable stability and robot‐scale locomotion.

Kinematic foot types in youth with equinovarus secondary to hemiplegia

open access: yesGait & Posture, 2015
Elevated kinematic variability of the foot and ankle segments exists during gait among individuals with equinovarus secondary to hemiplegic cerebral palsy (CP). Clinicians have previously addressed such variability by developing classification schemes to identify subgroups of individuals based on their kinematics. To identify kinematic subgroups among ...

Endothelial YAP Signaling Promotes Blood‐Spinal Cord Barrier Repair in Mice After Spinal Cord Injury

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Endothelial YAP is required for blood‐spinal cord barrier repair after spinal cord injury. YAP‐dependent vascular repair is associated with ANGPT1/PI3K/AKT signaling in vivo and may involve endothelial‐pericyte paracrine interactions. By supporting vascular remodeling, tight junction restoration, restored pericyte coverage, and astrocyte‐vascular ...

3D Printed Meter‐Scale Soft Origami Robots Capable of Load‐Bearing Actuation Via Crease Stiffness Modulation

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Origami has inspired numerous soft deployable mechanisms for safe human‐robot interaction, while its intrinsic kinematic instability at arbitrary configurations limited their practical robotic application. This work presents a 3D printed meter‐scale origami robotic actuator capable of load‐bearing deformation through creaseline stiffness modulation.

Literature Review of the Effect of Ankle-Foot Orthosis on Gait Parameters After Stroke

open access: yesJournal of Rehabilitation, 2017
Objective Stroke occurs when the supply of blood to the brain is either interrupted or reduced. The clinical presentation varies from minor neurological symptoms to severe deficits, depending on the location and the size of the brain lesion.
