Surface Waves and Forced Oscillations in QHE Planar Samples
Dispersion relations and polarizations for surface waves in infinite planar samples in the QHE regime are explicitly determined in the small wavevector limit in which the dielectric tensor can be considered as local.

The Response of Water Level in Well YUZ-5, Kamchatka to the Magnitude 9.3,Sumatra-Andaman Earthquake of December 26, 2004 [PDF]
Forced and free oscillations of water level were recorded in well YuZ-5, Kamchatka due to the passage of seismic waves from the Sumatra-Andaman earthquake of December 26, 2004, Mw = 9.3, hypocentral distance 8250 km. The greatest amplitude of water level

Chemoselective Sequential Polymerization: An Approach Toward Mixed Plastic Waste Recycling
Inspired by biological protein metabolism, this study demonstrates the closed‐loop recycling of mixed synthetic polymers via ring‐closing depolymerization followed by a chemoselective sequential polymerizations process. The approach recovers pure polymers from mixed feedstocks, even in multilayer formats, highlighting a promising strategy to overcome a

Unsteady flows in axial turbomachines [PDF]
Of the various unsteady flows that occur in axial turbomachines certain asymmetric disturbances, of wave length large in comparison with blade spacing, have become understood to a certain extent.

Loss of superfluidity in a Bose-Einstein condensate via forced resonant oscillations
We predict the loss of superfluidity in a Bose-Einstein condensate in an axially symmetric harmonic trap alone during resonant collective oscillations via a classical dynamical transition.

Oscillations of a soft viscoelastic drop
A soft viscoelastic drop has dynamics governed by the balance between surface tension, viscosity, and elasticity, with the material rheology often being frequency dependent, which are utilized in bioprinting technologies for tissue engineering and drop ...

Measuring nonequilibrium temperature of forced oscillators [PDF]
The meaning of temperature in nonequilibrium thermodynamics is considered by using a forced harmonic oscillator in a heat bath, where we have two effective temperatures for the position and the momentum, respectively. We invent a concrete model of a thermometer to testify the validity of these different temperatures from the operational point of view ...

This study presents a versatile approach to harnessing miscible aqueous domains, enabling liquid‐in‐liquid compartmentalization using a barrier formed in situ rather than bulk immiscibility. The barrier forms upon the complexation of multifunctional nanoparticles and ligands at the contact boundary of aqueous phases.
