Attenuation of increased immobility during in the forced swim test by nor-BNI in ethanol-dependent rats during acute withdrawal and protracted abstinence.

open access: yes, 2018
Rats (n = 6-9/group) were exposed to an ethanol or control liquid diet for 28–30 days. In the acute withdrawal condition, rats were exposed to 10 minutes of forced swim stress 24 hours after removal of the diet and then injected with nor-BNI (20 mg/kg, i.

Anchored Fluoro‐Shielded Solvation for Lithium Metal Batteries

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Anchored fluoro‐shielded solvation reconstructs PVDF‐based polymer electrolytes by coupling polyanionic Li+‐solvate sites with fluorinated shielding segments. This design organizes anion‐rich solvation networks, strengthens selective Li+ transport, and generates LiF‐rich solid electrolyte interphase, enabling high conductivity, wide oxidative tolerance,

Pioglitazone, a PPARγ agonist rescues depression associated with obesity using chronic unpredictable mild stress model in experimental mice

open access: yesNeurobiology of Stress, 2016
Pioglitazone, a peroxisome proliferator activated receptor gamma (PPARγ) agonist belonging to thiazolidinedione class, is mainly used in diabetes mellitus. Obese subjects are twice likely to become depressed than non-obese individuals.

Tailored Cationic Visible‐Light‐Active Interfaces for Sustainable, Biodegradable Nanofibers With Dual‐Mode Antimicrobial Activity and Robust Electrostatic Particle Capture

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Surface co‐functionalization of biodegradable nanofibers with sodium copper chlorophyllin and quaternary ammonium compounds achieves synergistic antimicrobial activity through combined photodynamic and contact‐killing mechanisms. The cationic surface provides humidity‐resistant electrostatic particle capture while maintaining rapid enzymatic ...

Comparative Evaluation of Forced Swim Test and Tail Suspension Test as Models of Negative Symptom of Schizophrenia in Rodents [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
Previous studies have shown that the administration of NMDA antagonist can induce negative symptoms of schizophrenia which can be tested through the enhanced immobility observed in the forced swim test (FST).

Ferroionic‐Assisted, Charge‐Driven Polymorphic Phase Engineering for Multilevel Memristive Devices

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
A CuInP2S6/Mo0.92W0.08Te2 heterostructure enables a gradual semiconductor‐to‐semimetal phase transition through Cu+ ion migration and charge accumulation. The spatially engineered 2H/1T′ mixed phases produce continuously tunable conductance states in a two‐terminal geometry, while suppressing depolarizing fields and stabilizing the metastable 1T′ phase.
