Lateral Casimir-Polder forces by breaking time-reversal symmetry [PDF]
We examine the lateral Casimir-Polder force acting on a circular rotating emitter near a dielectric plane surface. As the circular motion breaks time-reversal symmetry, the spontaneous emission in a direction parallel to the surface is in general anisotropic. We show that a lateral force arises which can be interpreted as a recoil force because of this

Heteroclinic cycles for reaction diffusion systems by forced symmetry-breaking [PDF]
Recently it has been observed, that perturbations of symmetric ODE’s can lead to highly nontrivial dynamics. In this paper we want to establish a similar result for certain nonlinear partial differential systems. Our results are applied to equations which are motivated from chemical reactions.

Optical Signature of Moiré Superlattices Formed by Twisted SrTiO3 Membranes
We discover optical signatures from bonded interfaces in twisted SrTiO3 moiré superlattices, including low‐frequency Raman vibrational modes and strong second‐harmonic generation, consistent with strong interlayer coupling inferred from cross‐sectional electron microscopy and ab initio calculations. ABSTRACT Moiré superlattices formed at the interfaces

Holographic drag force with translational symmetry breaking
Abstract In order to investigate how the drag force is affected by translational symmetry breaking (TSB), we utilize a holographic model in which the background metric remains translational symmetric while a graviton mass or other fields in the theory break this symmetry. We calculate analytically the drag force, considering an asymptotic
